Never been to Starbucks. It's not really what people do round my way  . If they do go they try to put the windows in most weekends but that doesn't count I guess

A good prank would be to label the EP "Music to cure migranes and hangovers" and share It via a P2P like soulseek.

This is a good idea. I support it.

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

They should play those two tracks from that EP he did in the early 00s that're made entirely of poop monster noises

LOl i'm a fan of his music but even I know better not to go near those.

I'm actually a fan of those. they crack me up.

I fucking love the Smojphace EP. Once you're familiar with what he was trying to acheive with those tracks, you really see the awesomeness.

Speaking of, has anyone here heard "Satanstornade"?

smojphace is probably the biggest misfire out of the entire Aphex Twin discography.

Run the place red remix is dope as hell though... I don't listen to the ktpa's much.... well, ever really.

I love it, too. Have it on both formats. I've heard Run The Place Red thousands of times, it's mental. KTPA 1&2 always intrigued me and are still noise favorites. It's not for everyone, but I'd appreciate it if people weren't so harsh on it. It's just not your thing, no need to think people are stupid for liking it.

And I have heard Satanstornade, it's probably my favorite Merzbow album (though it was a collab, actually.)

Its just random noises, he just did it for the lulz. The point of those tracks is to make weird fanboys like you go "these are the best noise tunes ever". I imagine Richard, Cylob and Luke sharing a joint and laughing at you for liking those tracks.

I felt like the intention behind the noise on smojphace was a play off the album artwork for the first MEN release. I think he made painful noise tracks so people would waste time trying to decode it. pretty funny actually. or maybe there is a way to decode it. i personally don't think so i think it's just a joke.

Actually someone decoded one of the KTPA tracks, it has a SSTV picture of Richard in his bedroom doing god knows what.

EDIT: I was mistaken, bonus high-frequency sounds was decoded not KTPA.

Was there a vinyl release of Smojphace? That'd be awesome. Extreme noise on vinyl is the best.
