4chan's mu. there was this guy claiming he had 2 unreleased tracks by AT. He only posted that one. The guy looked pretty serious about it.

whoa, very cool..

im listening again.. this is some seriously beautiful stuff.. ya never know.

The thing about this thread.. i feel like so many people on here are so skeptical of music possibly being aphex.. sure i may be a little over-trusting, but it's just as ridiculous as being highly skeptical. We all know richard is an amazing producer and writer, but that doesn't mean EVERY single track he puts out has to be highly technical or heavenly sounding. that would be absurd.. i mean listen to some of the ventolin remixes, or GAK, or tons of stuff of his that's not super complex or high fidelity... obviously it all still has that afx watermark to it, cuz of it's uniqueness/weirdness/prettiness etc, but people need to keep an open mind, imo, or some time he'll really drop a release, and skeptic extremists still won't even believe it's him, even if it's the best sounding stuff in the world.

whose to say this (above track) is not really an afx unreleased track? welp, no. no one can say whether it is or isn't. Sure, it's not mindblowingly technical like windowlicker or far out like Metz, but so what? It could be him... or not. Sure, the mystery kind of makes it a mindfuck, and if all these "claimed to be" aphex twin tracks floating around are not him, then whoever puts these things out are very lame to do something like call it unreleased aphex. but i do have to wonder.. who in their right mind would make something pretty damn good and not want to at least link credit to an alias of their's or their own name? that's a straight waste of effort/time.. ghostwriting for no one, and pissing off aphex fans in the meantime. doesn't seem realistic that people would do that. anyway, rant over (:

it is a fantastic track. The pads and other melodies seem a little too pronounced and obvious but other than that, yeah I understand what you mean lane-boss.

careful having an opinion here or speculating though, otherwise you might be deemed as being of "low IQ" or perhaps maybe a "giddy schoolgirl".

speculatin' isn't allowed here of course. Not here in this speculation thread.

In the end it doesn't need to be Aphex... Just some individual that pushes music / tech / composition to new heights.

i found life got better when i stopped treating it like some sort of ladder

edit: ehhh that kinda sounds more bumholey than I intended it

Word. Even the most skilled ppl and brightest minds dont always have to do amazing things.. I'd still go apeshit over and buy a new rdj release if he put out a simple chilled generic downtempo release or some straightforward breaks or something, cuz i know the music/melody/feel would be quality, and i know hed do the project the way he wants to do it, in his own unique way Edited by Lane Visitor

the imitation is poor, but I actually like the track. its gourddd

How long did it take to produce Analord? About 2 years? (not preparation but actual production time) So he stopped touring october 2012 and started producing full time (you can't produce and travel the world at the same time). Maybe he takes 1 year more to do it than last time. That makes the release ready end of 2014-2015

I count the "10 releases ready" as a statement of the jam folder condition. His jam folder is packed with stuff for 10 releases but he still needs to make a true release out of all the material
