The official about this thread: http://forum.watmm.com/topic/71544-unreleased-ambient-works-1985-2012-fanboy-wankery/

All this music is a mixes of releases from russian "HEAVY MENTAL Netlabel":

http://www.heavymental.ru/

http://www.archive.org/details/heavy-mental

http://www.discogs.com/label/Heavy+Mental

IT IS NOT APHEX TWIN!

p.s. "Kroniktronikboy" (who made this mixes) has no any relation to us and our label.

p.p.s. About the similarity of one of the tracks in the our release with Venetian Snares see notes for this release: http://heavymental.ru/netlabel/hm23/heavymental.ru_hm23.nfo -- * This track ("Alice Rose Marchbank") contains a few modified loops & samples from "Chinaski" track by Venetian Snares and actually is a unofficial remix of this song.

Yeah, and now your label has more hits than it did before Kroniktronikboy started spamming, weird innit.

To be honest - we've never cared about popularity and material gain. All our releases - is for free.

We don't understand why this guy (Kroniktronikboy) did this hoax. And don't understand his motivation and benefits. Looks like a little bit crazy young fan-boy...

It's not the guy from that picture, just read the stuff he writes, and there is no 16year old that knows everything aboot rephlex! it's just an aphex troll

Cool things are cleared up, i really thought this nut made 5albums :cerious:

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

Flashbulb-Bumblefuck, IL

I believed Benn when he said there was no intention of subversive means to gain an audience either.

We care so little about our reputation and popularity that we create an account at a stupid forum to clarify misunderstandings about our music.

He says "To be honest" though. So I believe him. Honestly.

Извиняюсь за свой плохой английский, ребята =)

Это нормально.

Удачи с новым президентом Путиным. Опять же.

why make a record label with so much stuff that sounds like 90's era AFX? what a waste of time! be original.

You just put a knife through the heart of 90% of electronic music. Well played sir!

Yeah, I know. I just loved to put the argument through some echo chamber and expand it to the entire scene, in a non-specific way. It's all relative. And a waste of time.

If were alive during Aphex's teenage years you would probably have said to him why make so much stuff that sounds like 80's acid house and Brain Eno.

That's not the point. People with your attitude discourage musicians from making music. What if their music is heavily influenced by AFX, do you think AFX's stuff is not influenced by other people? Just listen to Lichen.

You know nothing .. Its not just Lichen, its almost his whole catalogue. AFX was and still is influenced by other artists (there is nothing wrong with that but you seem to think AFX invented electronic music)

Just being a dick here, but no they shouldn't. They should do what they like. And you likewise. Meaning, listening to some other stuff.

What I do find interesting though, is that in some places these tracks were pretty close to the SAW1 stuff. Uniquely so, IMO. So how come we haven't heard more people doing this already? Apparently some skill was actually there.

Sometimes getting called out on it is good. Back a few years ago someone said my tracks were starting to sound really Aphexy, made me step back & realize "by gum, the man's right. Gotta cut that shiz out", which led to me seeking out a whole bunch of new types of music & trying out new angles in my own stuff. Dunno if it shows at all but I have more fun doing it now anyways
