I don't think he cares about making money off of albums or making money in general. It just seems silly for people to speculate he's not releasing albums because he makes more money from touring.

Right. But that is probably a matter of principal of not giving the ex his money. Not about the money itself.

Analords wasn't that long ago or the tuss tunes, the scale of the analord release alone was quite stunning, it must be around 3 hours of music?? So to say he hasnt released an album in so long......is cock. Look at Kraftwerk!! As for the touring, he does a few shows a year, nice little schedule going, bit of travelling, see the world, get paid for it = why not!

People used to buy records if they just liked it. Now they only buy if they love it, thats the difference really. Maybe thats a good reason not to make thousands of copies of an LP and/or EP that will take literally months to sell.

The wiser way for a well known musician of any sort is to play live and, more importantly, look as mystical as possible.

He's also making money out of other people's music, nice scheme he got himself running if you ask me, no need to release any new music, just keep banking on the status quo.
