I hope Denmark will be able to get a draw against Germany tonight. It's not impossible at all. And hopefully Holland will beat Portugal. They have alot to prove.

They need 2 goals difference. But I don't fully understand either. I thought the ordering was: points, result between the 2 teams and finally goal difference. How can Holland end up above Denmark with equal points when they lost against them? I guess it's because they can't determine 2nd place using result between the teams when the 3 teams all have 3 points?

Seems like Holland has a problem in the condition department. Third game they stop playing after 20 mins. And honestly, a number of them look like fat sausage rolls.

Second half predictions: more energetic first 15 mins with perhaps a second goal for the Dutch. After which they fall back and the Portugese score another. And if they're in form it'll be 3-2 for Portugal.

I don't think they'll win but definitely agree that they'll make it difficult for the Azzurri. They have some quality youngsters who arguably should have been starting the first two matches. They'll get a run out tonight and I'm sure will feel they have a point to prove.

I think it's going to be a dreadfully dull match. Italy wins 2-0.

Croatia-Spain should be ridiculously light on defense. Croatia knows they most likely have to win in order to go through (as they'll be assuming Italy beats Ireland), and they're going to press hard.

Also, why the fuck is Postiga playing? Does Portugal really have no other striker they can play? Oliveira seems to be used as a sub, even by Benfica (and he's young - meaning inexperienced). Why not play Varela or Almeida? Is Almeida injured?

Postiga was supa-lol last night. Just, wow.

The Netherlands weren't just pitiful, they were downright embarrassing. If not for Postiga's inability to finish, it would have been 5-1.

I mean, sure, Ronaldo was Ronaldo, but the Dutch D made it look like EA Sports wrote the script for the match.

chen - Oliviera has been bad, too, so good point...but Varela's a winger. Not sure you'd want Christie and Varela out on the pitch for long stretches together?

Yeah but Oliveira at least as the excuse of inexperience (he's only 20 after all). Varela may be nominally a winger, but he's versatile enough to play up front.
