LP5 sounds like amorphous twisting geometric shapes expanding and snapping back like elastic bands. i also picture a dusty old office room full to the brim with old documents and computers. other pieces remind me of folding paper shapes, delicately balancing on each other...

condfield sounds like you are looking into a room full of strange machine-type things. all of them pulsing and gyrating to themselves.

tri repetae is what it is, clanging metal and whatnot.

chiastic slide sounds more organic, like rusted metal growing out of the ground in fast motion.

The trees reminds me of a glade of tin firs

Amber is the tribal age of civilization, where man (or whatever) learns and explores the beauty

Tri repetae is the mechanical age, where machinery is the primary way of getting any process done

Chiastic Slide is the ascent into space and subsequent residence there for a period of time. CS is definitely Autechre-Space if there ever was such a thing.

LP5 is the discovery of a new planet with a different atmosphere, different landscape, etc, and the subsequent exploration thereof.

EP7 is the descent into the oceans of this planet in search of new life.

Confield is where you end up after being sucked down the sinkhole at the bottom of the ocean. Not only is it a completely different landscape and atmosphere, it is a completely different dimension where our present laws of physics don't even make sense.

Draft 7.30 is after a period of time when this realm has been colonized and organized to a certain degree. Draft is to Confield as Tri Rep is to Amber, in that it is a more highly mechanical and organized stage of the same atmosphere.

People complaining are not haters. They just wish you guys would use the search function once in a while.

Also they forget that they were once just like that.

For me Quaristice is like a perfect fusion of Amber Tri Rep and Confield. The more I listen to Quaristice the happier I am with it.

There are only a couple of track on the Quaristice appendices that I think are better than the originals.

I wouldn't take it seriously.

I don't anymore, I've certainly gotten used to it but I like to inform the noobies because I think a good chunk of them piss off because of people like Clitterhaus.

Once you get past it though I do sincerely appreciate his posts. Always good fun to break up the seriousness around this part of watmm
