Scientology tells its members to censor the Internet

Recommended Posts

As far as I can tell, the benefit of Scientology, if there is one, is that it helps people to confront their fears and snap out of complacency. In that sense it's a form of "tough love" designed to get people to accept responsibility for their actions and faults. So far so good. Unfortunately, like all cults, they don't stop there, they don't empower the individual to think for himself, but instead claim all credit for themselves as the arbiter of Truth, and say the individual must continue to follow them (and pay them) for the privilege of further enlightenment. Not so good.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Well said, sounds accurate from what I've read.

i think the issue american people will have with scientology is that unlike christian churches here, there are no community events or a "feeling"(key word) of charity. of course there are crooked churches and when they put on the events they preach, but at least they are helping out a little bit. i don't think any scientologist church(?) has ever had a food drive, they are exclusive and the masses usually don't like that.

As far as I can tell with Scientology, they "audit" you as soon as it starts, get you to pay ridiculous amounts of money, and do things that are highly questionable to you. But it's cool because they're just trying to get you to remember your body thetan's past memories.

I'm glad it's shedding light onto the batshit insanity that is Scientology... I saw an article that posted all the questions they ask the kids during their surveying... a lot of them just give off this creepy vibe of accusatory paranoia that I could easily see warping a child's outlook on people.

I also remember when this vid was floating around some years ago... pretty much cemented the fact that scientology is a creepy fucking cult after I watched it.

In 2005, the Church of Scientology stated its worldwide membership to be eight million, although that number included people who took only the introductory course and did not continue on....

but a 2001 survey conducted by the city university of NY found only 55,000 people in the United States who claimed to be Scientologists.

Worldwide, some observers believe a reasonable estimate of Scientology's core practicing membership ranges between 100,000 and 200,000, mostly in the U.S., Europe, South Africa and Australia. In 2008, the American Religious Identification Survey found that the number of American Scientologists had dropped to 25,000

well its not as bad as one would expect.

In germany they are watched by the verfassungsschutz (constitution protection) having circa 5000 members

This figure seems rather large, considering the german attitude nowadays

Why did she marry him in the first place? No sympathy for her now she expects us to side with her because she has a better publicist. She's a damn fool for having a kid with him.

The Cult probably told Cruise to do so and get a 'beard' so all the gay rumours would go away... Odd coincidence that Tom Cruise divorces and suddenly Anderson Cooper comes out saying he's gay - putting out the message, eh Anderson?

It's sad that seemingly smart people like Cruise and Travolta honestly think they need this garbage in their lives... I wonder if they were threatened their careers would be blacklisted if they didn't embrace it full-on, or maybe it's all about money.

i think it has to do with the auditing process they employ - you're an actor who's on the up, but no megastar, and you get involved with the scilons. now, their auditing process means that you divulge your deepest secrets, and fears, whilst also incorporating being told this is helping you, or making you better... all the time costing a boatload of money for every step up 'the bridge' which is what they call l ron's path to personal advancement. so... you get a bit more famous and a bit richer. progress up the bridge a bit more. divulge a few more of the skeletons in your closet.

tom is apparently OT III, which is very, very far up the bridge. it must have cost him at least a million dollars, i reckon more. and now these people know everything about him. everything. there's no getting out at that point even if you wanted.

tl;dr scientology is a scary evil cult and david miscavige is a horrible little cunt.

Tom Cruise's place in the Scientology hierarchy is

  Quote
Class 4! OT-7! Platinum Meritorious! And IAS Freedom Medal of Valor winner

as announced in this official 40 minute long Scientology Freedmon Medal o Valor award ceremony video

Class 4 means he is well trained as an Auditor and Platinum Meritorious is his good standing for donations to the church.

The murderer Rex Fowler is also an OT7

Tory Christman is an OT7 ex Scientologist and outspoken critic with 100's of video blogs on her youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/ToryMagoo44 highly recommend to go through lots of these

Jason Beghe is another high profile OT7 ex Scientologist and he did a really cool candid 2 hour interview about his whole experience

I think John Travolta has been OT5 since around 1990 but I can't find out for sure.

ah, he's gone up a few since i last checked.

OT VII apparently confers abilities like mind control, the ability to cure disease through willpower, and telekenesis no i am not making this up.

When the Scientologists audit a person, they write it short-hand everything that is told to them. I am sure there are subjects that come up in which a person would not want everyone knowing anything about. They supposedly use this information to blackmail people into staying in the group.

Juss sayin.

Someone like Travolta might be caught between a rock and a hard place but Tom Cruise seems like he might be the kind of guy who enjoys sending people to the RPF for looking him in the eyes at goldbase. I read a Miscavige quote somewhere that he said he would want Cruise as his second in command if only Tom wasn't so busy with his career. And of course there are perks http://gawker.com/5864342/tom-cruises-slave+powered-scientology-birthday-party

I hope so much that The Master wins the Oscar for Best Picture.

I'm surprised it's even being made on such a large scale, considering the pervasiveness of Scientology in Hollywood. I wonder if during promotion they'll explicitly admit to whether it's about Scientology.

Either way, it goes to affirm my opinion that PTA is one of the greatest film-makers in the last 50 years.

i personally think he is the greeatest filmmaked that ever lived. Punch Drunk Love is far beyond the piddling nonsensical metanarrative of Kubricks supposed "artistic masterpiece" 2001
