Binding of Isaac is alright so far but I really can't stand the pixel-like graphics. Nearly ruins the game.

Don't hope for much - it makes it look worse, IMO - instead of semi-anti-aliased edges, you get even more semi anti-aliased edges. If you're gonna do pixel art, at least do it right (see: Rogue Legacy or Shovel Knight).

Gross! I hate the style in Rogue Legacy.

No care was put into it to keeping sprites a consistent ratio, images flipping around due to programming written into game mechanics (ie. When you get that 'flat' trait and turning left to right just flips the image.)

You're right - I had forgotten about the main character sprite. The rest of the sprites are fine, though.

went on a point-n-click spree this week... just finished up The Longest Journey () and Primordia (good, but short, and I wanted the story to expand a lot more than it did!)

I guess luck is a very important part of the game...I noticed that by keeping on playing I started unlocking new items and getting stronger. I had a nice set of items when I killed mom as well !!! (except those spider eyes that made me shot 4 tears at the same time but at a very slow rate...)

Congrats. I beat mom once and the game expanded to have more levels. I beat mom again and the game continued into a womb level and I died. Does this count as beating Mom? When I check my stats it says Mom Kills: 0. Did none of those kills count? (Yes I'm a noob.)

ED looks amazing... wish i could afford it

That's most of the joy of playing a rogue-like. It's almost like gambling, with a bit of skill thrown in.

You have to kill Mom's heart to actually get it to count.

enjoying strider for ps4. feel like i'll clear it pretty soon. main thing that bugs me is the weird ambiguity of the foreground/background elements and how dark everything is. guess it saves tons of budget to just make everything black/grey.

Have that in my Steam library too - Will probably reach it around 2019.

Worth it when you do. I got both complete editions for my birthday, so when I get around to them, no one will hear from me again.

I can relate mcb, I'm terrible at being relevant with games. I usually only buy them when they come down in price or are given away with Ps Plus. In fact, that's the only reason I can say I played BOI or Far Cry 3 etc, in that they were available with PS Plus. Of course, certain games I'll buy day one, but there are limits, especially if it's ridiculously expensive.

How people buy all of their games on release day I'll never know. And those who buy the digital pre-order bundles that go up to £90, just so they can play it at midnight? YOU'RE INSANE

Yeah, I'm still playing the same character in Skyrim since it came out. I'm too busy to dedicate myself to open ended worlds anymore. And I'm so tired of errand boy missions. I just play quick rogue-like/rogue-lite games and board games on my phone.

Heroes of the Storm Alpha, Diablo 3, & Hearthstone. I'm Blizzarding it up right now.

Try adjusting your screen brightness (in the game options) - there's a lot of detail in the background you are missing out on.

It's a pretty long game - if you're trying to complete it 100%, you won't look forward trying to clear it on Hard (I finally gave up/lost interest ages ago)
