What Video Games Are You Currently Playing

Never played the others in the series but Dragon Age: Inquisition is fucking great so far... I'm like 40ish hours in already and have a fuckton to do still. Rather enjoying being an Elvish Rogue, I named him Agalloch (like the black metal band), it fits. The multiplayer is also pretty addictive and plays out like a fully 3rd person Diablo, with the progression system of Mass Effect.

So how is the new smash bros anyway? I guess I'm a bit interested in picking it up this week, but have moved away from the franchise since the 64 version

When did you get to Skyhold? I was pretty surprised when I got to it after 20 hours or so. It's like the game only truly opens up at that point, while with most other games, you'd already be done.

And the whole two-hour section before it... hhhhhnnnnggg

It's good - really good. Visuals are very impressive, but keep in mind, it's Smash Bros. - don't expect crazy combo antics a-la Street Fighter. Really need friends/family to play with to have a good time - I can't see myself playing this solo.

 

In other news, picked up Geometry Wars 3 for PS4 - damn, what a trip! Music is very good on it, and the visuals are pretty impressive. Hard too! Also got Rayman Legends for 20USD (PSN sale), which I have been wanting to play since it came out, but decided to wait until it hit the 20 buck price point.

I must have played about 2 missions in GTA V, it's just all about the photo mode for me. I'm too happy just being a virtual photographer!

Gamestop swoops in yet again to fuck it's customers over on a "used" game that costs more than new. Fuck you gamestop!

I think I'm all steamed out, nothing on that list so far grabs my attention. Don't think I actually bought anything in the Steam summer sale either.

Yeah, I read about that - if it could be made so you can easily use Gamecube controllers on a PC, that would be a nice dual use for it.

 

Honestly, Nintendo needs to get Gamecube games on their Virtual Console (and lower the VC prices; too damn high for that stuff) - well, there's a lot of things Nintendo "needs" to do, but that could take up an entire thread...

All their shareholders are interested in is asking for the company to just go mobile, put the Nintendo software on anything and everything it can. Who can blame them when they look around and see both upstart and competitor companies in mobile gaming making out like bandits? Nintendo aren't short of money by a longshot, but shareholders in anything always want MOAR PROFIT... something which Nintendo just can't seem to do with the Wii U. They must thank their lucky stars for the 3DS and even more for the dead-cert bankability of Pokemon.

Well, I WOULD be playing this, but Best Buy sent me the wrong version. I ordered the Premium Edition, and got the standard version. Kind of pissed about this.

 

Still, I'm playing Smash and Bayonetta 2 right now, so I'll wait until they send me the right thing.
