since no one's seen or heard anything it's really hard to say. i mean i certainly don't think it'll be as bad as duke nukem forever tho (if that's what you're alluding to)

I don't think so either, but people have a tendency to get burned by long awaited games, so I'll step in as the cynical guy and tell everyone to calm down and not to get your hopes up.

There's nothing wrong with a healthy amount of cynicism :)

Half Life 3 will probably turn up to be the worst game ever then :(

Absolutely.

Bethesda will probably buy Valve before HL3 ever gets released.

I wonder if Gaben is having health issues.

Hyrule Warriors coming to 3DS, sweet. I didn't get that far on the Wii U before I had to put it in storage. Some 3DS characters transfer to Wii U version, why not the other way around? Between this game, and the Smash Bros cross buys, I can't see Nintendo not doing a hybrid system, all of these indicators seem to point to them testing their market. Maybe Splatoon will be next? Imagine a real cross play Zelda game...

The recent waves of Amiibo have amazing detail, this Ganondorf looks like a scale statue.

i played some Pillars Of Eternity last weekend, the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate and teh like.

God damn is the plot/backstory/mythology arcane or what? After a few hours, you stop caring. Gameplay-wise I have no quibbles, though it does feel it outdated compared to other modern day computer RPGs.

Would have preferred if they had stuck to the D&D rules and the Forgotten Realms mythology though

Finally beat Dragon Age Inquisition, bit crap innit.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Yeah after encountering like three of those special characters in yellow who give you short story-sized written flashbacks I've just stopped caring about anything. There's a lot of content in this game but it's really not brought out. Can't say I've ever felt much involved in my character.

MGS Ground Zeroes would be so much better if it didn't try so hard to be grim and edgy. Still a pretty enjoyable stealth game though.

I just started playing it, how long is it?

There are some things absent in it that are making it less fun for me compared to previous mgs games... I wanna hear the guys say "huh... what was that noise?" lol. It's not metal gear without it!

And I miss the Alert/caution meter, it made it more tense. Now it's just like I kind of sit in the shadows and the guys go away.

An hour or so. Depends on your playstyle. You can go guns toking but that feels like cheating.

New level added in Splatoon! This drip-feeding of new stuff is a great way to hold interest. Haven't played it yet tho, hoping to get in a game now.

I thought so. Can't believe they were charging like $40 for it when it came out. Got it for free on ps+ last weekend.

It's still fun though. =)

Well all the other MGS games are only an hour long if you skip the shitty cutscenes so I don't see what the big deal is.

By the end of that game I was purposely skipping side quests and just dragging through the main campaign so I could at least see how it ended (which was pretty anti-climatic overall)... The story was so generic I just stopped caring completely about 2/3 of the way through. Also the combat got boring, the tactical mode was pretty useless as the NPCs never did what you wanted them to do. I really regret having paid full price for it.

The Witcher 3 is so many miles ahead of that POS game in terms of gameplay and story it's laughable.

Just bought a bunch of shit in the Steam sale, realising that 90% of my wishlist is made up of games I don't actually feel much interest in playing.

Hotline Miami, Cloudbuilt (some speed runner game? looks nice), Shadowrun Returns and might get some more before the sale is over.

Someone please stop me.

I've been enslaved by video games for the longest time as well. But at least they seem to be the number one thing by which I can relate to the younger generation.

$40?! Goddamn glad I got it free through PSN. It's certainly made me want to buy Phantom Pain when it comes out, which is a win for them. Ho hum.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.
