I just finished my first playthrough of DS2. I feel liberated. maybe now I can finally move on with life. no NG+ for me.

I just finished it too... did an achievement run, which I needed to go NG++ for

trying to finish Max Payne 1 on the ps2. Up to Part 3, Chapter 2.

i have lost count how many times i have slightly walked off angle due to the sticky ps2 controls, accidentally touched a red hot iron, accidentally been burnt by shooting burst of fire, accidentally been wiped out by some guy with machine gun that i've tried to kill but can't target properly other than shooting randomly with guns directly at their position. only to die, and have to sit through loading screens and little cinematics over and over again.

 

i've read heaps of reports saying this game is a classic but .. actually sitting down and playing it today for the first time. it's a piece of shit game with some fun controls and fun self deprecating silly humour set to gritty setting. ... maybe the ps2 port is letting it down but im feeling confident in saying this game doesn't hold up well at all in 2015 :| :|

Yeah, the first Max Payne is a bit dodgy, but I would think that Max Payne 2 still holds up.

yeah i've heard the same thing. for some reason tho i can't put it down tho. i feel obliged to stick with it and inch my way through to the end..

It's not very long so it won't be too much of an effort to slog through. I played it on ps2 as well a few years ago and I agree its not that great. Was a kinda fun story and the dream(?) sequences were pretty trippy.

indeed. always came across humble and likeable from his online presence (nintendo directs + iwata asks) to what others in industry had to say about him.

sweet god i am STILL finishing up da: inquisition. i had to take a break for a while... so many tiny quests. i'm giving up on the side crap and just getting through the last bits of the story tomorrow. i need to move on with my life ffs.

 

that said, it's a fun game

 

 

and on the subject of life-sucking time sinks, has anyone here played the mmo "The Repopulation"? I used to really like Anarchy Online (lol) when it first came out and this looks like a souped up, deeper version of the same idea, though it mostly gets compared to SWG. i'm intrigued.

not sure actually. i know he helped out with programming on some games and helped out behind the scenes without being credited so much but not sure so much on the pokemon games...
