That bit in the video for St Anger where Lars stands up and screams angrily. When they were shooting the video he never actually screamed, he just stood up and silently made a screaming face.

All research about this points towards the same conclusion: He's just a complete twat.

St. Anger is classic bad music. I really think that snare sound is the least of its problems, though it doesn't help... but there really couldn't be a more fitting snare sound for it, so maybe Bob Rock was just doing his job capturing the essence of everything that song is. Maybe the production on that album is actually brilliant.

edit: no seriously AC/DC is far closer to the rhythmic and melodic characteristics of electronic music than pretty much most rock. It's so... i dunno stripped down. It's just three chords that simply alternate on and off the beat with a big fat kick and a snare behind them. It's like 70s maurizio or something. This is all pre-back in black of course.

I have a friend who hates AC/DC and Kiss with a fiery passion. To me they're both classic cheese rock bands that are even kind of enjoyable in small doses, but I can definitely appreciate why someone would hate either. I recently found an AC/DC shirt ("For Those About To Rock") in a box of free stuff, so I took it to spite my friend.

I was recently checking out a local record label and came across this gem:
