Society is not shit until the last 10 minutes, it's very funny, one of the best satires of 1980's culture.

It Follows is great, apart from the soundtrack which is a bit over the top compared to the film.

James Wan will direct the live action Robotech/Macross movie

Hey I own it on VHS and DVD, you'll get no argument from me.

Really? He's terrible.

Well, the conjuring was ok.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Exorcist III is rrrrrrockin, entirely due to Brad Dourif & GCS,,,,,, the bits in the psych-ward, the walking sheet creature, the mentalist nurse with the big scissors , Brad wrathing @ GCS about the "cold dark places"...... a forgotten gem imho

I ran into Brad Dourif last month in Soho, he looks like he's his own grandpa.

maaaaaaaaan, i would've publicly saluted the bloke just for his turn as Raymond in Blue Velvet

+ he turned The Wild Blue Yonder into something actually believable and for *insert immense catalog of work/characters here

It Follows is wonderful and so is the soundtrack. One of the best horror films I've seen the last couple of years

I would highly recommend this film by the same director/writer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081237/combined

It's amazing, and considered part 2 of a trilogy.

Exorcist 3 was originally called Legion and had no exorcisms in the book or original screenplay.

Man, last few pages have mentioned nearly every film I rewatch whenever I do a bunch of night shifts. Society, Ninth Configuration, From beyond.....

Recently watched Antiviral by Cronenberg's son. Good fillum.

Almost like an updated Videodrome. Gross body horror and twisted satirism on celebrity worship. All shot like a very slick sports goth music video.

yeah, Antiviral was great.

will check it out, the Cronenberg clan needs new flesh, long live the new flesh!

worth it for nekkid Sarah Gadon alone (I know I talk about her every chance I get and I don't care).

this is a documentary about the amateur online porn business- mainly focusing on 4 girls. "the average a girl will stay in this business is 3 months" says one asshole. "1 year tops if she's popular".

in the beginning things are fun and every new girl is popular, then those words start to become prophetic and each new "assignment" becomes more demanding (demeaning?) and less profitable.

what i find fascinating is that the target audience for this subject (and possibly the most enthusiastic viewers) are the very same people driving the porn market, and these are the very same people being blamed for victimizing these women. this is a very puerile subject handled in an equally puerile manner forcing morality down ones throat (no pun intended)

Totally understandable

That Cronenberg flick Spider just popped up on my tv, forgot it features the building from that Squarepusher album cover.

One of his best films imo, but not many agree....anything is better than A Dangerous Method though.

couldn't finish this (barely made it through the first hour). what i got is that it's about some family crisis because the mom died during some nuclear meltdown in japan so the kid grows up to date the olsen twin's sister in san francisco and go to iraq. yawn

I thought it was surprisingly competent, different strokes I guess.

i felt like it was forcing me to relate to the characters instead of just getting on with the programme.

this was brilliant. it's based on the 'sword of gideon' mission which was mossad's answer to black september's 1972 munich massacre. spielberg did a full feature which is surprisingly, a kind of edited version of this made-for-tv film, which imo plays much better because it fleshes out the characters more and even gives small details which- in the film version- might seem a little convenient.

the only problem is probably the cast which is not quite as seasoned, but i suppose that's more due to budget constraints and 80s cocaine.

just watched Mothman Prophecies again. tonally its got a lot of problems but its one of my biggest guilty pleasure movies. Its hard to find a mainstream film that captures the better atmospherics/suspense from good X-files episodes and this definitely hits the mark for me.
