I think it's impossible for me to read the title Mother! without hearing it in Buster Bluth's voice.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Army had half a day.

no Faye Dunaway in here. :dadjoke: ..

Never seen so much leather and latex in a film since the first Blade film. Friedkin is in pure hype mode here though.

Gemini. a recent thriller about an actress and her PA caught up in murder. this started off promising but descended into bollocks and ultimately took 90 minutes to say and do absolutely nothing other than reflect the glossy vacuous sheen of Hollywood itself. maybe that was the point? apart from the pretty photography there's almost nothing of value here.

Any one notice there are really no good male stars ? They are all either goofy looking or emasculated in some way these days.

Who do you hold a torch for?

From the old days I mean. Gregory Peck?

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

Robert Mitchum was the shit.

I think josh brolin has some of that old school thing going.

We are left with Adam Driver, Daniel Radcliffe, Jamie Bell, James McAvoy and A N Other!

I like the lesser known leads Stacey Keach, Roy Dupuis, Peter Weller, all distinctive, no collective following bullshit. Forge your own path my san.

The Neon Demon. I remember being mad keen to see this before it came out and then somehow managed to not do so until just now. I liked it overall because I like Refn's schtick, but... it's not half the film it could have been and is probably his weakest ever.

Radcliffe is both goofy looking and emasculated...

Nocturnal Animals - aka The Screenwriter is Bitter About an Ex-Girlfriend: The Movie. He literally stood her up at the end.

Lean On Pete, a story about a boy and his horse. I liked it a lot.

Watched the big lebowski for the first time in about 15 years. It's still great.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Looks like the new Halloween film stays true to the series in that it's pretty shit. Is there a worse horror franchise?

worse... probably Friday the 13th/Nightmare on Elmstreet. Absolute shit. The original nightmare is doable...bout' it. Halloween, the first 2 are fine. That basically secures it being better than those other two. Season of the witch is it's own animal.
