I just read that there was a series too. on death row. not sure i want more of this, although i do think that focusing on one crime/2 criminals worked against the film

yep, i remember feeling the same. he really blew it with his stupid questions, it should have been much more than another louis theroux episode.

I know that soundtrack is mostly amazing, but am I the only one who starts to puke in his mouth every time Love Theme comes on.

It's that rarest of moments in Blade Runner where I begin to question its greatness. Love Theme is a perfect soundtrack for a fat white 80's sales executive hitting on a little asian woman with dreams of putting her in his suitcase to bring back to America.

No matter how hard I try, I have to fast forward through that scene.

In other words, I imagine Lumpy strutting around the streets of China, ghetto blaster held high on one shoulder, blaring Vangelis's "Love Theme" and trolling for 13 year-old tail.

when i think of androids having sex i want the woozy saxophone equivalent of a passing glance from a thai ladyboy. admit it, blade runner is some seedy 80's fetishistic shit. it's perfect the way it is.

i love that track, the subtle fm bass in the background, the rhodes parts. maybe you just hate saxophones?

Considering how rapey Deckard is with Rachel, the only way Love Theme could be more appropriate is if it were re-titled Sex Work

10/10, it got to me on so many levels, Hard 'n' powerful, just the way I like 'em

indeed. the part where the little green hill is broken in two as the top right of the page kind of folds over the sky is the most moving sequence in film history.

End of Watch feels like a video game, albeit one I'd like to play.

Yeah, Cody, with regards to the sickening Assault Weapon culture, I agree that it's a bit shocking to the senses.

However, and this is a big however, this movie was horrible IMO. I can't stand this Training Day fucker and I hope to never see another of his films. Tedious, contrived, and just far too video gamey for my liking.

Earlier this week we got our first look at actor Benedict Cumberbatch

playing Julian Assange in the forthcoming WikiLeaks film The Fifth

Estate — but Assange himself has some particularly harsh words for the

production. In a speech before the Oxford Union, Assange revealed that a

draft of the script for the Dreamworks project had in fact been shared

with WikiLeaks, and he called it "a mass propaganda attack against

WikiLeaks the organization, and the character of my staff and our

activities, and so on."

 

 

 

Assange didn't stop there however; he went on to say that The Fifth

Estate was also "an attack against Iran" that "fans the flames to start a

war with Iran." In an interview with the Associated Press, Assange

explained that the film's plot focuses on a mole in Iran's nuclear

program who discovers the company has nearly completed building atomic

weapons — something which Assange says is not borne out by documents

WikiLeaks obtained. The film is also said to have the mole's identity

revealed when WikiLeaks publishes classified documents — another

falsehood in what Assange calls "a lie built on a lie."

 

 

 

The Fifth Estate is scheduled for release in the United States on

November 15th. It's being directed by Bill Condon — known for his work

on Dreamgirls and Twilight: Breaking Dawn — and Assange describes the

project as the result of a "war of corrupt media" driven by powerful

influencers. The antidote to this kind of influence, he told the Oxford

the friends of eddie coyle - robert mitchum was a cool, world weary motherfucker and this seemed like it would be an authentic boston mob movie. unfortunately it's ruined by one of the cheesiest soundtracks this side of willie dynamite. inexplicable 70's funk music set to low key shots of people driving slowly and staring at each other.

I haven't seen Training Day but I am sorry I had you watch something horrible Mirrezzi, will check out the Russell film. You didn't enjoy Michael Pena in the film at all?
