Haha, well its not about sweaty drunkards. It's about a shared experience. Some of the best times of my life have been spent in the middle of a heaving mass of people all feeling as one. When everyone seems to give in at last and let go of everything but the moment. You have to just dive in the deep end and let everything go. I'm sure all of this sounds retarded to some people but what can ya do.

I can't wait for autechre to come to the states for an oversteps tour. It'll be interesting to be there and see how everyone reacts to it. It's some of the most primal and disorienting music i've heard so perhaps under the right circumstances and if the stars are aligned right, there'll be a mass reversion to a primordial star-heart feeling coming back into consciousness within the confines of the venue. But prolly not

At the risk of sounding Masonic Boom-like about Autechre, it looks like they decided to switch amounts of facial hair from one guy to the other.

I need to redownload a bunch of classic sets. Are they mostly on archive.org?

I have uploaded the 12-hour Autechre.ws set from 2010. I have fond memories of CHATMM (which peaked over 20+ users throughout the day) and all the antics that ensued. This set is fucking brilliant, including some rap antics and even Herb Alpert!

Has somebody recorded the whole broadcast in a higher bitrate? I would love to get it in 320, even when it fills up my HD then.

It probably wasn't streamed in 320 anyway.

yes, but maybe somebody recorded the entire stream in 320, that was my idea.

I *might* have a good quality rip - although it won't be true 320. I was in some part responsible for cutting and redistributing mp3 versions of a couple of the streams back then, I'll have dig around and see what I've still got.
