Hi. I'm Chris, the writer, editor, and publisher of Thoughts of a Certain Sound.

I've been writing about music my entire life and, for better or worse, it is my career.

Getting paid as a writer is hard, to say the least. I also spend hundreds of dollars per year on hosting and software to make this website possible. I also pay the visual artists (photographers, illustrators, designers) that I work with and have plans to expand the website to host other people's writing, and pay them for it, too. 

If you're interested in reading the interview, I would ask, kindly and respectfully, that you pay to support my work—and help me offset the fees I spend to keep this thing running. (Ironically, maybe, I paid to join this forum to post this message.)

I think it accepts other methods, although I'm not totally certain (tech stuff is not my forte). I think besides credit cards, the site accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, and "Link" although I'm not sure exactly what that is.

I really appreciate everyone's support. I have a lot more work coming down the pipeline that I'm excited to publish and share. Thanks for reading and supporting.
