Forgotten IDM producers

Never really got into Pole, but considering all the acclaim he received I'm surprised he more or less disappeared after 2007

Oh man, thanks to Xyrofen and everyone else for mentioning Redcell/Stasis/B12. I haven't heard IDM this good in a long time. There's a whole ton of it out there to listen to as well, I'm excited.

3 other forgotten IDM producers, who pre-dated IDM entirely are Coil and the Severed Heads. also VDB Joel. Not saying that IDM was necessarily inspired by these guys, its possible they were just coincidentally laying a lot of the groundwork people like Aphex, AE and Muziq would work on later on.

Good mention on Robert Logan... I was trying to a remember a song that came into my head for a while earlier, turned out to be a song off Cognesence re-dle'd the album and gave it a good listen.

all this stuff is idm but it's funny that aphex twin gets compared with this when his music sounds totally different in style. because aphex twin is not idm and never has been.

I reaaaaaally reaaaally want more Nautilis stuff! What band is he playing in these days? Maybe that'll somehow satisfy my craving (Malcom Kipe didn't).

Shapes Have Fangs - don't really know the music but I believe it's garage rock (not gonna work on your cravings, I'm guessing).

Yeah checked them out on spotify and wasn't in the mood, but they sound pretty ok!

Also gave his Malcom Kipe stuff another chance but had to turn it off when one of the tracks had a really terribly synced sample of 'Some Other Place' by Alan Parsons Project, zole.
