jeeeeez yeah, you mean staring and letting your eyes unfocus? I do that all the time. and it actually gets quite annoying -- I do it too often now, and whenever I stare at something -- like a TV or monitor, my eyes go out of focus :( probably not healthy for my eyesight

i used to do it with the ropes where you hang your clothes for drying, while i was at it i tried to touch the one that wasn't there, but i couldn't, cause i also had 2 fingers... :(

something similar happens to me too. if i stare at something to long my depth perception really goes wack. like if im watching tv suddenly the images look really far away. its like in cartoons where someone is walking down the hallway and it appears to get longer.

I do. They're mostly cyan/purple. They look like constellations of bubbles. I also see purple patterns that look like going fast down a tunnel when I close my eyes sometimes.

There's something to the green as well. One time I briefly lost my vision, and before I did, everything washed over in pink and green, then just pink, then nothing. Came back in a few seconds I think. (I was monged.)

I have the same pink and green. Usually this is a result of abusing hallucinogenics combined with alcohol.

It's called HPPD and it's quite intense. If I ever drink or smoke pot I have similar hallucinations to LSD! Lots of pink and green swirling.

I'm trying to recreate the colour you get when you close your eyes ( in PS ) and I don't even know where to begin... is it possible there are colours that we haven't seen yet?

yes i think that every frequency out of the visible spectrum can also be considered a color so... they're infinite? or maybe it's just light harmonics if that exists at all...

here's what I made quickly in PS, it's kinda what I see when I close my eyes. well, it's as close as I could get in 5 mins anyway lol

the greener shade is when sun shines directly on your eye lid

Mine is never a solid color. It is usually a gradient that has different points of more concentrated color. Also, hooray for lens flare.

mine too, I was trying to convey that with the light rendering effect in PS but it looks pretty cheesy :/

It must have to do with how your eyes recept white light and something in your brain, because I've heard tons of people with the same "pink and green" visuals. I'm not sure really, I want to find out though! Also it is quite strong. It also comes out when I'm drinking. If I look at the stucco or whatever on my ceiling, it is pink and green in dots and it is moving/shifting/swirling as if I were on something lol. This only happens when I take hallucinogens or drink or smoke pot. Who knows what will happen when I'm 70 years old though? Lasting effects like this couldn't be good.

There are some very close approximators to LSD (such as 25xNBOME) that are active in the microgram dosage. They're legal in most countries where there are no analogue acts.
