In reply to modey, you're right, vinyl isn't an investment at all. However I like keeping my vinyl copies of certain things pristine when I have access to good quality wav files as were released in this case. For the nerds out there I also still have Oversteps all sealed up, one of my least favourite Autechre albums incidentally.

Fair enough. I just get offended when people snap up the relatively limited releases and never play them. There's so much stuff I want to hear on vinyl but the copies I potentially could be listening to are sitting in shrinkwrap on someone's shelf :P

I did, about a week ago.

The one thing I don't like is this back-to-front gatefold arrangement. Record should be in the rear panel (right hand side when open). Shields is a god, but he's failed here.

I got my LP in the mail.

The sleeve is properly shite. I could have done a much better job. Fucking typical Kevin Shields that for such a perfectionist he releases a crap sleeve/wrongly labelled remasters etc etc. if he's gonna put more stuff out he should get a label behind them.

Yeah, aside from the bad design the record sleeve itself looks like a bootleg. I saw several copies in stores at $$44 each but just couldn't justify the price.

I'm at Amoeba in Hollywood right now. They're selling the LP for $30.
