The sampler has some godawful rap thing in the middle somewhere, that was enough for me to sign off.

His hip-hop flavored stuff is nice IMO, Fire Ant was one of the highlights of Ambivalence Avenue for me.

These tracks he did with Letherette are pretty sweet.

That first track is wonderful! There is also a very enticing excerpt only available on the Artist's Valley MySpace page titled 'Cuckoo Clock' linked below...

Yeah I was checking out their myspace the other day, wish they released more stuff. So good.

First track I listened to was You Won't Remember and it pretty much convinced me to preorder the album which isn't something I do normally. A lot more guitar work that I was expecting. But yeah just great stuff. Oh, and no hair metal tributes so far. Sounds like a mix of Vignetting the Compost and Ambivalence Avenue. So take that as you will and go ahead and rest assured that it's worth the money.

the guitar work is really really good, in the "vignetting" style as mentioned. could easily have done without the "you" track, it just sounds out of place (and is notably terrible at that). with the exception of the one track, a very fantastic album.

this is waaaay more laid-back and less in the face than his previous LP. still a natural progression coming from that and his prior work though.

Make no mistake, I'm not knocking the track. I love it as well. Just when you consider it in the context of the album it's a bit of an odd choice. Like I ended up deleting it off of my version of Mind Bokeh and replacing it with Vertical Helican Stan and the whole album flows perfectly, at least to me. I enjoy the song more on the TOYS ep, even though it's the same track. I'm having the same issues with You.

I think I'm going to stop rambling before I make a complete fool of myself.

So while preordering Tomorrow's Harvest, I decided to buy another album to get amazon's $25+ free shipping. I gave Silver Wilkinson album sampler another listen but chose instead to buy bibio's Hand Cranked.

From the general sentiment here it seems I was wrong to pass it up? I love a Tout a l'Heure but found You a bit disappointing

Either way, im super excited for this music video:
