stupid first world achievements and successes

I've been working at my new job for 9 months now, and none of my co-workers have seen me drunk. Only once got slightly tipsy at Shoreditch house after umpteen margaritas. But never drunk. WINNING!!!!

Gumbo is the shiznit. Best pot I ever had was after catching spot shrimp in Prince William Sound back in 2006. So fat and buttery.

The biggest video game project I have ever worked on is starting to get reviews and the majority of them are positive. Phew!

I’m already working on 3 other games, and I’ve finally started using Wwise and I fucking love it. 

Signed a contract for a pretty sweet gig from December to July. The benefits are the worst I've ever had, but the pay is good and the best part is I can do it almost 100% location independently. Just have to show up at the office once or twice a month. So I can basically just fuck off somewhere far away and then come back for the occasional monthly or bi-monthly meeting. I'm thinking something like working a few weeks from Barcelona or Athens..

Also this contract and the previous have been more of a match to my actual degree which is applied mathematics and not just the usual code monkey grind, which is nice.

Went to a straight edge show and my girlfriend is now a fan of hardcore

Got a raise this week, only been at my  current job about 5 months

Got a settlement from Zappos for 10% off a purchase

Phew, the game I've been working on an off on for the past 2 years is finally out. It's been a blast doing the sound design and music for it. So here's the launch trailer - music and sound design also by yours truly.

Finally able to afford a new bed. Found one that was $100 off and also came with one of those motorized adjustable bed frames for free. Back pain be gone!

had follow up appointment w/oncologist today.. results of 18 month CT scan all good. clear of the cancer for now!  i do have to have a colonoscopy in a few months.. maybe that's a bonus? (overshare)

My new living place is finally done being built so I'll be moving into the Boston area on Tuesday.  I've been waiting for this since May.

Made my first rice grilled cheese sandwich - using rice instead of bread basically. The trick is it use freshly cooked short-grain white rice and mix with corn starch and salt, then mold it into a square using plastic wrap, twice. Although I probably need to add the corn starch and salt immediately after it's done cooking next time, rather than wait a few hours for it to cool first. Still came out tasty though.

Morrsions was absolutely infested with students this afternoon.  Decided to hang around the 'free from' and vegan section, see if there were any art school sluts I could pick up.  Had my headphones on, so was humming along to Anaconda by Nicki Minaj.  No success getting any numbers but did manage to press my moist tumescent cock through my pyjamas into the backs of a few surprised girls as I reached forward to add some gluten free pasta to my basket.  What are they going to do, complain to instagram?
