I work in a prison and if CDrs are sent in to prisoners, they're destroyed because of their apparent illegality.

I was interested in the reason why Oscillik claims torrents aren't illegal. Is there a loophole? Or are you just talking about torrents in isolation, not of copyrighted material?

a torrent is just a method of downloading, it's its content which determines its legality

for instance, linux distros are usually distributed via torrents because of their considerably faster speeds - that's also why they popular among "pirates"

think i might be, as my up and down speeds have been drastically decreased starting last weekend.. only max out at about 25Kbps, and its not even consistent.

i don't pull anything from public trackers, so i'm wondering if comcast has wised up..

odd though, because it's only through torrents.. direct downloads are fast as they ever were.
