they did surprise drop Geogaddi, more or less. I'm curious how well that did. Of course that was in the days before rampant piracy...

Geodaddi was briefly in the top 40 in the UK. While never mainstream, BoC have always had a certain profile in the UK since the release of Marcus has the right to Children (Chris Morris, Spaced, tv idents, Radio1 airplay etc, as well as just the generally higher profile of Warp in the UK, certainly in the 90s, early 00s). Things cooled off for Mein Kampfire Headphase. I'm in the unfortunate position of knowing some young people in their early twenties. They have quite esoteric electronic music tastes (Boomkat recommends essentially), and bizarrely half thought BoC were dated and the other half hadn't heard them.

jesus, really? Are we getting old?

By the way Twoism are working themselves into a fit of witch burning in an attempt to appease MDG and BoC...they are going after the guy who recorded and leaked the crappy (and also incomplete) version of the album from the Dolores event. Funny how worked up people get.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

I've reached that certain age where I am genuinely becoming scared of young people. I know in my heart that instead of retiring to France I'll end my days being eaten alive by feral children.

Edit: Feral children who have never heard of BoC.

feral, inbred children finally unleashed from the chamber hidden under BoC's pentland hills compound

theyre up there seperated but missing 3 tracks i think. not worth it, windy. its not HQ or anything but they

really should release the downloads now to those that bought it, this is messing it up for them.

The first three tracks were enough of a taster for me, it's pretty clear I'll enjoy this record so I'm happy to wait.

theyre gone now.

I thought an early digital release would have come yesterday following the listening party to avoid this situation where bad quality uploads are all over the place. The album is obviously finished and mastered sitting in a folder on a computer at Bleep ready to upload, so why not?

These days its inevitable youre gonna get bad uploads, leaks, live (listening party) recordings and so on....I'm sure BoC like every other artist aren't bothered, its so prevelant.... the final product will be quality enough and enough fans will be happy with that

Because the release date is June 10th. Why would BoC/Warp change this because of some crap quality upload? I don't think they would be concerned. 'please stop recording audio after the first 3 tracks'. As if there wasn't going to be at least one person (probably a lot more than one) completely ignoring that! It doesn't really matter does it. I'm waiting to hear it properly on June 10th whatever the weather or never ;-)

Yeah I'm probs gonna stop listening to the "leaks"for a while... Then the album will sound like something I heard before... But not quite.

I haven't listened to any of the live recordings... then again, there's no need for me to.

We all know that at the stroke of 5pm PDT, The lights will go up on a make-shift stage, the group of expectant fans are blinded by the lights... but wait, what's this? Squarepusher lunges on to the stage in a child's Spiderman costume like a mad man, then proceeds to perform shambolic beatbox renditions of the classic Boards of Canada hits of 'yesteryear'. The small crowd at this point are seething with rage at the lack of true Mike and Marcus action, and are encouraged by official Warp helpers to hurl readily available patio chairs in his general direction. Once the battered and bruised elder Jenkinson has been subdued, he'll be carried towards and lifted aloft the Coke sign. In a Wicker Man styled affair, the sign will be set ablaze, offering Tom J as a tribute to the mighty gods of Warp in exchange for a good harvest next year. No wait, sorry - for Tomorrow's Harvest this year.

Can someone record this please.

the moment that done it for me was when the drone/bass of gemini kicked in and the guy at the front in the hat and glasses sitting down with his female friend just shook his head and smiled, speechless, knowing what was about to happen

Finally got a look at the original live stream recording. Not me after all. I'm about 10 feet to the right of this dude.

Obviously people who aren't interested to begin with won't travel hundreds of miles to an abandoned amusement park - it's just a cool thing for people to do who are in the area, and for people who weren't there to wish they were able to have done

that song White Cyclosa sounds remarkably similar to John Harrison's Day of the Dead score. It doesn't sound sampled but its so goddam similar that now I'm wondering if it is just a giant sample collage from the score of that film
