I do feel the ios6 update did sort of slow down and cripple my phone. I doubt the new update will cater and fix slow down issues with iPhone 4S:/

 

 

iPhone 4S lol, it's time to step up bro, this thing is waht, 1 year old already!

My 4S seems to run about the same with iOS 6 as it did before. There have been a few lousy app updates, there always are, but the phone and os seem to like each other plenty.

 

The only appreciable issue for me is Siri has actually gotten worse, somehow. It was mildly useful while driving for a few months and now it can't seem to do shit. Not sure what's going on there.

 

 

 

To be fair, 6.1 is a great deal smoother than 6.0.

and yeah, the 4s is awesome. i actually like it better than the 5 because it's smaller and better looking than the 5 (i hate that 2-tone look of the 5 where the top & bottom of the case is a different material than the middle section.

 

+ the screen on the 5 is just too big. when using the phone one handed and trying to reach up to touch elements at the top edge of the screen with my thumb, i would find that the palm of my hand would start touching the bottom of the screen and cause all these unintended inputs.

I only upgraded to a 5 because I was leaving the telecomms company I worked for last year, and as such was entitled to a huuuuuge discount on a handset of my choosing, as long as I signed up to a 2 year contract. I scored the 64GB model for about £130. I also got a 40% 'leavers' discount on my contract, which is on there 4 LYFE. In the company I work for now, I'm reimbursed for all of my phone usage.

 

I now have zero intention of upgrading my handset, at least until it falls apart.

I bet the guys that need it have the external versions anyway, making even more mess, unless they hired them in for their glorious photoshoot.

I would've thought that would easily be plausible - People wanting to Pro range would want multiple drives for RAID usage, two optical drives for cloning media, and a decent audio capture device. Why they've ditched the concept of internal devices seems ludicrous
