Guest cult fiction
Overall my work macbook pro feels snappier, not sure if it's due to the additional animations and highlight context or a real speedup. A lot of reports online say it's slower. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/80972-osx-109/page/2/#findComment-2079193 Share on other sites

I've installed it, and haven't played with it too much - really really annoying it apparently uninstalls Java and Flash. At least you can show the Libraries now with a checkbox rather than having to run Terminal commands to restore it. Microsoft must be watching Apple, because in Windows 8.1 they've hidden their libraries link now. And I HATE the name - Mavericks - this is an OS, not fucking Top Gun (yes, I know it's named after dangerous waves, etc.) Anyways, hopefully this is the last of OS X and the next one will be OS 11 (which will adopt the iOS look and feel) Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures Follow WATMM on Twitter: @WATMMOfficial Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/80972-osx-109/page/2/#findComment-2079334 Share on other sites

Don't get me wrong; I like Apple and their products, but this whole "you can't upgrade" business with the MBPw/R pisses me off - I have a 2011 MBP, and I cannot tell you how much of a difference 16GB of RAM has made over the stock 4GB it came with. I was really wanting a Retina display, but it looks like either a Mac Mini or iMac 27" will be my next machine (unless I decide to take the plunge and build a Hackintosh at long last) so I can get the stupidly high resolution I want.
