My mom always cursed any establishment with Mr. Pibb instead of Dr. Pepper and get Coca-Cola instead. I never told her I liked Mr. Pibb more (at least before Mr. Pibb changed years back to Pibb xtra or whatever).

Dr Pepper has quite the following though. My wife and I both swore off soda almost completely but her guilty pleasure is Dr. Pepper. Mine is...

A&W Root Beer is a recent discovery and I think it might trump Dr Pepper but I don't get to drink it much as you can only find it here in Chinese Supermarkets.

I thought Big Red was chewing gum. Quite the life-altering thread, this.

OK, inspired by this thread i just went out and bought a can of A&W root beer. (with aged vanilla apparently). It wasn't a particularly inspired interpretation on that flavour idea, bit bland. I look forward to the little bottles of Bickford's Sarsaparilla that i got at the same shop far more, they're deep and lovely.

I also got the A&W creaming soda, i hope that isn't as pointless.

Any microbrew is gonna be better than A&W, though my favorite
