I've never found punk rock to be convincingly rebellious.

I find all scotch to be an abomination. It was my drink of choice sometime in my late teens till about 21 when the wheel of flavour moved away from scotch to tequila and vodka and on from there. A liking for scotch has never returned, it is the ruin of what should be a nice glass of booze. From this standpoint i'd imagine that i would find this laphroiag stuff to be most feral.

It's hard to beat really good REAL tequila and really good REAL vodka.

My parents brought back some real anos tequila from Mexico and it blew my mind on how great it was. A complete 180 degrees to the pure piss that they sell in liquor stores in my area.

I also tried some bison grass vodka a friend of mine had and, again, fucking awesome compared to the other piss.

What was the name of the tequila can you remember? I've been a bit of an strange drinker for years now, i mix nice bourbon or american whiskey with fruit juice and mineral water have done all sort of odd things, to lower the sugar intake of whatever booze whilst providing a variety of flavours, straight is nice too. Never was into the cocktail thing though, that's just mixing drink varieties and making it more difficult to judge intake over time, which to my mind have never seemed like good ideas. Although perhaps it was the hassle of bothering when you mostly drink alone. heh.

My dad brought three different kinds, but the only one I remember is called Revolucion Anejo cuz the bottle is so cool:

It was really good, but he brought another that was even better. Like 'This is fucking delicious!' better. I'll ask him next time I see him.

I'll put it on my shopping list. Although i haven't drunk any alcohol for a couple of months now and have been a sporadic drinker these past few years, so who knows when it'll be cracked. Maybe i'll leave it in the shop, it's safer there, and will be waiting for me when i want to break the drought.

Your loss is the scotch drinker's gain - all the more for us. A bottle of laphroaig PX cask..mmm fucking heavenly. Ardbeg also does a great 10 year old bottle. Bowmore is usually a little less peaty and more mellow...even the Japanese have upped their game, as the Yamazaki distillery makes some fine whisky.

Also it can only be scotch if it was distilled in scotland.

I was watching some metal history documentary and they were interviewing someone from Maiden, and he hated punk, said that he'd never want to go to a gig where everyone spat on everyone else and thought it was cool or something. Made me think that that scene at the time must have attracted a lot of ne'er do wells who felt they'd found an environment where they could unleash their sickly antisocial tendencies. Of course the other side was all these DIY kids doing whatever. I suspect though were i a scenester of the back then that i would have been into disco and metal and jazz fusion gigs in equal parts. With perhaps a little punk here and there listening to early dead kennedy tapes and whatever.

Controversially, I think it might actually be alright. Disney will have taken note of the shit that the prequel trilogy received and they won't want to go down the same route again.
