Do you guys think XMAS_EVET10 is too long? I find myself not paying attention after a few minutes in.

no, to me it's the opposite. longer track kind a challenges the listener, takes much more time to 'know' the whole track. it's soo rewarding when you can beat through some long track, such track as XMAS.

Agreed. Once you get to grips with it, seems shorter than 10 minutes.

yeah, Xmas is a real treat, just one of his epic tracks of lengthy lushness.... love it.

To me, that track is his "Station To Station" (David Bowie). I never feel like much time has passed when listening to it because it creates a mood so well that I zone out and ignore everything else.

I don't think it's a bad thing, perhaps the fact that all the track titles have bpm attached suggests they are club fodder or something, not to diminish from the album at all, it's multi-purpose

Has anyone managed to "play" that limited edition track that came with the super deluxe vinyl lottery box?

Someone got pretty close to 'translating' it. From what I remember, it sounded like a CCAI-esque track hidden behind a wall of static.

Yup, and someone else on here did a pretty good noise reduction on the rip we already had. I think it was a piano track, definitely CCAI-style!

Definitely agree about the album rewarding repeated listens. Every time I'm hearing more and more detail. Fantastic record.

I remember someone complaining about this album being crushed to death (or whatever) and I was analysing some tracks today as a mixing reference... So I pulled Xmas_Eve into my DAW and had a look at it. The waveform looks like it has been slammed, but as I expected the dynamic range is not too bad - I was getting 10-12 dB RMS on that song, which is quite good and not too different from other tracks that I thought sounded good also.

wow lucky I checked WATMM today. I was concerned about that for sure although I'm not sure I'm the person you're referring to. What does all that mean (what do you take away from it)?
