I read the paper next to the card and it says to bring the card and receipt to the store where it was purchased to get your copy of the album.

So I don't think the cards are anything special or give any exclusive material.

sometimes weeks before, sometimes not at all.

I don't think Tomorrow's Harvest had any samples up.

Yep that's what I recall too but my memory isn't the greatest.

TH had samples up at iTunes though.

ps.: itunes tend to be earlier than bleep, so if you pre-order on itunes, you'll have them on you computer before the bleep servers are even getting warm.

Iirc Exai had samples up before release but think it was on norman and not sure if they were meant to.. but yeah exai and TH didnt leak so I dont think this will but might be released early by bleep

how soon was reach for the dead played by radio stations before TH was released? was it something like 4 weeks ahead of release date? If so, surely radio stations ought to be playing a track off Syro sometime soon?

something like that, but i believe the same thing happened with exai. so it might just be apple being "different".

also, and bleep screwing up the mailings of the pre-orders. physical releases coming a week after release date or something. ;D

1. That itunes link isn't showing me anything but the 12-track US version. Can you help me here? Do I have to move to Japan to download this, or can I just book a flight that passes over Tokyo with 4G running? Anyone every successfully downloaded a Japan-only track legally from outside Japan?

2. Screw leaks. I hope it doesn't, and I won't listen if it does. Waiting this long? I'm not going to ruin my first listen by having "Hmmm, this sounds like Aphex... no this doesn't... I remember getting Exai digitally a month before release (with 24bit wavs also!), whether it's intentional or not is unknown. Also, for some reason I pre-ordered TH and got flac, wav + 24bit wav as well, even though I definitely didn't buy them.

My bleep account is cursed with gifts of extra digital formats. Not complaining. I wish I'd gotten 24bit Reachy Prints though.
