Aphex Twin Has Anyone Gotten a SYRO Limited Edition Preorder "Ticket" Yet?

Seeing as how the track hasn't been properly released he probably doesn't think it's something that should be heard in super high quality.

theres no way a scanner like most people have is going to be able to scan that in any way that any kind of software is going to make anything out of. you'd need a laser that scans the depth of the groove which is where the audio info is contained. regular scanner doing that is just unpossible. there is no software that could possibly do that. absurd

obviously there's software that exists that could do it from a '3d scan' of some sort, but it likely exists on few computers in labs like the links i linked to in my last post. the software would have to be pretty complicated, to be able to even track where the grooves are going. like with a wax cylinder they go around the cylinder whereas on a record theyre on a flat surface. nobody is just going to make super complex software that can do all that and release it for free for everyone to dick around with, at least not any software that's really good at what it does.

just as an example i was looking into software to remove wow/flutter from analog recordings a while back, and that stuff is super expensive/exclusive/specialist stuff. just like this will be.

fwiw im not trying to come off like a know it all here, just laying out where i think (imo) the only options are if anyone who has it is actually interested, and to say that outside of just putting it on a turntable and trying that (someone said earlier they tried turning it by hand and the needle wouldnt stay in the groove, but if aphex really played a copy you'd have to assume he used a turntable (although it could be another of his questionable statements...)), it isn't going to be easy or quick or painless. and would involve trying to contact some specialist types who have custom setups for pulling audio from strange old recordings. (also fwiw imo its prob not worth it)

sorry, but that's my thought and I want to say after several reflections ... I was very tempted, first ... then I saw the price ... then the content of the object. I found this very ridiculous collector, beautiful, yes, it's true that it's a beautiful object, but for a collector, in our day, it's too much. I liked the simple collector without unnecessary surplus with the serial number. There, he's not a collector, but a random limited... Stupid fate! And it didn't make me want to participate ... Again, if it were not so, I'll have maybe bought (for resale, always new, 5 years later at an exorbitant price !)

Warp doesn't do this to prevent resale, instead, to take only those who buy the more copies... I'm convinced of that, there is no true of the draw... I do know, having worked in publishing houses or companies where the raffle is not really a lot, but take the most interesting customer...

Just got a ticket by email about fifteen minutes ago. Rules on purchasing have now changed.

It says:

I just bought and paid for mine.

A large package has gone to warehouse. Only downside is I have to wait until next summer to see it in person.

Can either of you or anyone else tell me who the email comes from? As in what should I be watching for specifically? Not holding my breath really but I'm tired of looking at every email so closely to tell if it's related and not sure if I've accidentally deleted it in junk or something. Thanks in advance.
