I'm trying to recover the steinvord track from temp using http://dmde.com/download.htmlbut I don't have PRO so I don't know if it will work.

Going back to earlier conversations. Notice now that some tracks have track number tagged that match the numbers in the title. As if it wasn't obvious enough already. You can stop including those numbers in title now please. thanks.

Don't understand people tagging those mp3s. I'm hoarding them as an exact copies of what AFx has on his drives.

I'm keeping two synchronized folders with the unmodified and (re)tagged versions, respectively. Regular backups too of course. :wang:

Question for music business experts:

If richard, basically, gave all this tracks for free, does it mean i can use a tracks/tracks in documentary/movie/video-blog or whatever? Or i still need to obtain any licence for this? Ofc i will acknolenge authorship and write artist in end titles etc...Thanks in advance

Is FmsubBass available for download from anyone here?

Just in from work and catching up.

https://www.sendspace.com/file/3h2yrh

Giving the music for free doesn't mean he's giving up the copyrights.

How many people will see your work, and will you be making money off it? Best to just take right route and contact them to ask permission.

but shouldnt it be copyrighted when you are on label, have "trademarked" artist name etc?

i mean...it's just a soundcloud account, what to do in this situation? or soundcloud automaticaly "copyrights" music?

or where i can read about it more?

i really bad at this...

It's copyrighted as soon as he makes it.

Doesn't have to be released or on a label or anything. As soon as you create an original work you own the rights to it.

Stephen and zazen are right. <This isn't legal advice to you, but> We see this a lot with code posted online without any license. It looks like it's free to use because the poster didn't say otherwise, but legally they need to grant you a license to use it. Usually this is done with various open source licenses with code, but you don't see that so much with music.

Without having a copyright right license to use, you're stuck hoping your use is "fair use" under copyright law which is a hard fight to win.

I'm not sure why anyone is talking about anything other than Sekonda.

Hell, I'm beginning to wonder why anything exists except for Sekonda.

Some notes after catching up on all the pages this morning (you guys post a lot!):

  • Not enough love for Phase Acid. Loving that one.
  • Talking to my lady about Make A Baby, about why the hell the kid thought about bread/babies. She said it must come from "bun in the oven" which makes sense.
  • Somebody mentioned speeding up [slo]w early morning clissold sunrise. I agree that it's worth it. But what is the right speed? I was thinking 30% faster, but I'd welcome other opinions.
  • Evidence that RDJ is reading this thread?: Gocab said something like "backing to raving maturely" and then shortly thereafter RDJ posted the track (mature raver). What say you
