I did two quick and dirty versions of Cirklon3 and Cottage3 E five years back.

nice to hear, thanks for sharing.

I asked Richard if he remixed "Petter - These Days" but he denied it and never heard it.. I think he actually did a ripoff

HEAR THE DIFFERENCE OF THE SYNTH IN THE BEGINNING

that's a good find, sounds remarkably close.

btw, since we're here. I found a pretty similar case the other day. the intros:

yeah both of those are eerily similar. good finds,

also forgot how much prememory bangs, would love a new album filled with that vibe.

These are just coincidental imo. There's a shitload of music out there.

Prememory is also just a pwm synth run thru a phaser pedal probably. It's not an unique sound. That doesn't make it any less good

Cool track! Thx.

In case people are looking for a digital: Petter has a bandcamp page, but this is not on there. (Haven't heard is other tracks, but will check.) It is available at beatport, however. Other track is also good. Both tracks would fit well somewhere in an AFX dj set, imo.

Don't know about other services. After checking bandcamp, I went to beatport. Which I haven't been to in years. And from the looks of it, nothing has changed around there. Beatport is still pretty much the same as 5 years ago. Much prefer bandcamp, tbh.

When I posted the track to Aphex he said "you got some good shazam in your head" that made me smile!

Petter is really a good techno guy from Sweden.. Love his stuff.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I spot sample recycling

unlikely, but I guess this could be a coincidence, maybe both Petter and and Richard took a liking to the same Juno preset, or whatever synth that was, in which case would probably be even more painful for Richard to admit.. a preset......... ew

rdj has used plenty of synth presets, he's not that anal about it

Aren't  these all just pretty basic sswtooth pads playing a basic 2 chord sequence.  A bit detuned. And run through a phaser?

um, but Aphex Twin played those sawtooth pads and detuned them himself. checkmate.

Aren't Aphex Twinks just basic music done with basic electronic gear in a basic detuned way?

This is it! Im gonna head over to the Squarepusher section. At least he can play a fucking bass guitar

Squarepusher is just Roni Size for beards

Sorry if there’s a thread on this or it’s being discussed elsewhere but here’s an article on RDJ’s sister becoming Wales’ Minister on Climate Change (this rules, btw). There are a couple great quotes here!

When asked whether she’s a fan of his music, Julie said:

Very much. Not all of it. Some of it’s, I think Charlie Brooker once said it was like being inside a CT scanner for an hour. But some of it is glorious. He writes beautiful jazz.

*nods, knowingly*

also:

She names the 1991 AFX single “Analog Bubblebath 2” as her favorite of her brother’s tracks. I like this lady.
