Spot on really. It's like before 2000 or whenever CGI started getting used really excessively filmmakers were scared of audiences laughing at how unrealistic things might look so they had restraint and put effort into realism and suspense. Now despite how obviously fake everything is these days studios know they're still going to have the same relentless queues of morons lining up to watch this shit regardless.

it's like the effects have become the "stars" of the movie, but they look cartoon like and ruin the overall experience.

i don't think they deliberately set out to make something substandard, but that they take the easiest option and that's what happens.

it can be hard to buck a trend, even if the trend means inferior product. restrictions can make a better film (see Jaws as example).

Maybe Roger Ebert was right about video games.

They showed the latest Star Wars teaser before the film. That was pretty cool.

But anyway, the easiest way to sum up Jurassic World would be to call it an ok looking Asylum movie.

John Hammond and Michael Crichton are rolling around, screaming in their graves.

John Hammond was always better than Jurassic Park, Pinkie Brown would have sorted the lot out with a flick knife.

Brighton Rock reference. Dickie Attenborough played Hammond and Brown. Sam Riley played Brown and has a cameo in Jurrassic World.

OK, just saw this. It was honestly better than JP2 or 3. Still pretty stupid, but eh. That's what I was expecting.

I don't mind a stupid film as long as dinosaurs /check ... keeps on moving /probably check ... cast isn't a pain in the arse /well the main dude was alright in space team twenty fourteen .. looks ok /check on the trailers, not beautiful but expectably acceptable.

JP 3 is the worst movie I've ever seen. I don't, maybe it's technically not the worst, but there's something I really fucking dislike about that shitfuck.

that being said, ill be pleasantly surprised if Jurassic World has less problems than Jurassic Park 3. I have very low expectations
