Guest LoveRhino
One of my favourites is Pontypool. Excellent low budget horror. I also watched Chernobyl Diaries, which was fun and Inside, which was genuinely horric and gory as all heck. I love this silent, short horror from NZ. www.nzonscreen.com/title/natures-way-2006 Why the hate for Haute Tension? usagi
the whole thing is a take on 70s horror b-movies though. what didn't you like? I did think the bit with the two heshers was a bit out of tone but ultimately not so much that it wrecked it for me. Reveal hidden contents even the anticlimactic ending isn't enough to ruin it for me. I was hoping for an epic psychic battle a la Scanners. that would've been so good. Reveal hidden contents That's just it. The tone just completely changed and for a minute I thought maybe I fell asleep. But no, this is the end of the movie. For the entire movie I was being eye fucked by 80s sci-fi and horror nostalgia then right when it's about to climax we get a couple of stoners and the main villain who just went through a serious change falls and hits his head on a rock. It was so anti-climatic that I said "fuck that" out loud to myself. I still think it's a great movie but the ending was such a cop out.
