yeah. i saw tons of them in canals and shit when i lived in miami.  every once in a while someone would catch a really big one and people would go "wtf is that" and then get told to calm down it's a gar. 

i like the presentation of the story though. as if the hurricane unearthed some rarely seen see creature. it's absurd and total clickbait sensationalism.

i'm honestly surprised charlie crist lost. he did not win the last time he ran as an independent, and he barely campaigned this time, meekly poked at general de santis, and did very little in terms of "proving he can do something if he did win" so i'm sort of confused how he lost so epically in such a maniacally red state
