Looks pretty fucking good, mangz.  Expect if I didn't know about GITS, I would have no idea what's going on or what this is about.  -Actually, watching the trailer, I have no idea what this is about or what's going on.

But it looks good.  Music is retarded.  When the title shows up at the end, for a split second I thought they were playing the piano from Linkin Park's In The End.  Hahaha...  Anyway.

The trailer should've used this, which is the only track that can represent all series in badass form:

IGN was allowed to film the opening sequence at the Tokyo event, Kenji Kawai was actually there playing live drums for the audience:

(this music could be temporary)

okay, what's with this amnesia angle? seems like a pretty big divergence from the source material, because in sac2 we see that the major knows she was in an accident, her parents died, and she was turned into a cyborg to save her life.

IT's probably for plot incoherence, so that it's a mystery that makes less sense as the movie goes on, instead of a manageable amount of exposition that would clear things up

She knew, but the audience didn't, and Hollywood likes the protagonist to discover things as the audience does, so it don't make us white folk feel stupid.  in Arise, she was literally ripped from her dying mother's womb and placed in a cyber body from birth, so she never knew the feeling of physical pain, etc.

I'm betting there is some sort of accident, or combat injury that requires the prosthetic body.

By convenience I meant for their convenience. So they can put less work and brainpower in. So yeah I agree.

Interesting. I literally just finished the Arise movie. It was ok. For some reason I have trouble remembering what happens in it. Even though I watched it less than 24 hours ago.

I really hope they keep this nod to the original Kenji Kawai score; such a powerful piece!

Man, they should have just let them post the actual video online. Looks great still.

I guess Scarlet is keeping everything inside, and even though she's trying, it's all falling apart. If it ever meant anything to her, it's only a memory in her ghost.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

ok, so following nerd logic, does she have a navel, or pubic hair?  these things seem cosmetic.  I'd assume she has a functioning digestive system and genitalia, but in the 1st movie she said they couldn't even get drunk bc of their artificial immune systems, so who knows with this live action interpretation.

jesus god the original movie isn't even that good it's just static shots of people talking about first year philosophy shit while japanese women wail away on the soundtrack

isn't that a little ungrateful seeing as it paved the way for one of probably your biggest hit role?

Hang on - I just remembered that Depeche Mode are notoriously difficult to get on board with allowing remixes of their work.

Official remixes hardly exist.

Money must have really talked to get this cover passed. And since it's crap, there go the chances of anything good ever getting passed ever again :-(

It's not a remix though, it's a cover isn't it?
