Euro 2016!

Recommended Posts

I also love it, especially when a true super star, especially when British --- not really, but when David Beckham messed up the crucial penalty shot in EURO 2004 ... I was overcome with joy ...

Zaza's cha-cha-cha steps looked ridiculous, the pride comes before the fall ... I guess it was hubris instead of trying to warm up cold feet ...

Germany to win it then. The one team I felt had the chance of beating them lost on pens.

Well done Wales. Wilmots should be let go immediately. No tactical managerial know-how whatsoever. A squad with that much talent should have the beating of that Wales side (no disrespect to them).

Belgium might've had the apparent talent, but like Inglan you can only blame the manager for so much. The rest is surely down to the players on the pitch? Similar issues to Inglan; ego-driven, spoiled rotten & fold when another side gets stuck into them.

Bring on the Portuguese and that diving prima-twat. Yeah we'll probably lose, but who the fuck cares after seeing some of our performance so far.

Btw, loved Coleman saying he could never manage Inglan in the press. Sock it to the cunts Chris my man.

Nah I disagree. There wasn't too much egotism in the Belgium side. They were shockingly organized.

Wilmots makes Woy look half decent. Ehhh maybe that's a stretch.

I think the welsh have a good shout against Portugal. Contain Sanches and Ronaldo as much as possible and watch out for Quaresma. Huge that William Carvalho is out for this match, he dominates that midfield.

On the flip side, Bale can do some serious damage against that back 4. Odds on he gets that rare Pepe a red card. Shame that Ramsey is missing, I don't know who really replaces his value in the side.

Should be a good match though.

On the other side of the bracket, Germany looks set to dominate France, but France going forward is still a daunting proposition. But how good were Germany in a 3-5-2 without having played it before in the tournament. Should be another good match but I still see Germany walking through to the championship.

Wilmots seems to think it will be his choice when he does go.

Thing is he has a contract all the way to the 2018 World Cup. He'll probably be out of the picture soon but not before he either works out a good deal with the football association or is plain fired. Leaving of his own accord is likely to be his worst option, financially.

re-Chen.....ok maybe we could agree that both Inglan & Belgium were woyful (sorry, couldnt resist) and it'd be rude to gloat further at your demise

maybe the 1 good thing for Inglan is that it could force your powers that be to finally, finally, get some kind of overall organizational structure to A) the domestic age-level representational game as a whole and B) a manager who could galvanize what should be a world class unit of players coming through that structure.

tbh, they surprised me after the season Dier, Alli & Kane had, but Kane looked cream crackered every match in France and Hart let you down severely. Less shampoo commercials for that chap now......

as for Portugal - fuckin Pepe, what a length, loves to dap the elbows round but cant take it back. Its a given he'll flop n cheat @ every chance, just hope someone clatters him to smithereens early on just to remind him its still a contact sport.

gutted for Rambo, he could be the difference, as Allen & himself are a quality pairing & we dont have any1 else with his all round game. Johnny Williams has played above himself, but only the game itself will tell.

Agree with all that. Doubt it will happen, the English FA are a right bunch of fucking knobs.

Yeah Kane was woeful - just fucking dead on his feet. There wasn't anyone better to play as a 9 though. Vardy proved what a limited player he is, and Sturridge is just ineffective as a 9 - much better out wide. So who to take instead - Welbeck? Carrol? Hopefully Rashford matures into the player we all think he will be bu the time the WC rolls around. I wish Wilshere wasn't injured so much, if it wasn't for that, I'd rate him even more than Ramsey. I like Rooney in his new position, I do think his vision and ability to pick a pass is top-tier, but with no one to pass it to, it's fucking wasted.

Anyways, I could rant all day on that - but I hope to fuck something positive changes soon.

I assume wee Joe will start further up the field, which was where Klopp preferred him last season, and where he really shone for us for the first time since he signed really (bar the odd game before). His main problem is his weak finishing, isn't lacking in terms of energy, passing, and tackling though.

Could be a dull as fuck game though, neither team is the most adventurous, though with both teams like that maybe one of them will take a chance and it'll open up.

I think Wales will go at them. The Portuguese back 4 isn't that strong.

Germany missing Hummels and Gomez really hurts them (unless Mueller decides to finally score in the Euros). I think the FRench midfield can definitely put pressure on the Germans, but ultimately the Germans are too strong across the pitch. Evra and Sagna will struggle against Kimmich and Hector. But the German defense without Hummels and Khedira will not be as tight as previous matches.

It should be a very good game - predicting a 2-1 win for Germany.

Wales-Portugal is harder to call - but I'll say Portugal on penalties. Wales missing Ramsey and Davies is bigger than Portugal missing W. Carvalho.

Ah is he? Didn't know that. That changes things quite a bit, because for as much of a cunt as the rare one is, he's a damned good defender.

If Pepe is out then the pendulum swings back to Wales. Pepe would have probably done a decent job of keeping Bale in check seeing as he plays with him/trains against him every week.

Been boring up until now, but shit bout to get real.

Wales have been very good coming from behind though.

Oh shit even Nani scores?

gutted but a huge leap forward even from the days of Sparky & Ian Rush

Sanches was the difference.... just seemed to glide over the turf & for a kid he purred. Bayern have a real asset

If Coleman/the FAW/Premiership/Championship/youth could unearth & integrate1 or 2 more of the caliber of Rambo, Allen & Ash Williams etc, good things are coming

Boring from us overall in the dame doe, stuck in 2nd gear, missed Rambo immensely & if Gunter had made 1 more pass back to his center backs my brother would be driving to France overnight to clock the bloke

whoever from Ger/France, cos both are a class above Ronaldo et al

Thought Sanches was pretty poor actually. Gave the ball away very cheaply on a number of occasions.

You lot really offered nothing going forward. Allen showed how much he needs someone like Ramsey beside him. Bale was trying to be a one man wrecking machine a little too much I think, he needed to calm himself, he overhit a good number of passes.

Still you've had a wonderful tournament, and it's great to see you doing well.

Can't see Portugal beating either of those sides either...at least in regulation time....dun dun dun.

This final is going to be a lot more interesting than I thought actually.

Germans had enough chances to get something out of that game, they've been toothless up front several times now in this competition. France have been the best attacking side though, didn't see a lot of the ball tonight, but always looked more dangerous than the Germans. They looked decent defensively tonight as well, considering the amount of time they spent off the ball, which hasn't always been the case.

Wololo, what's up with all the bugs?

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.
