Yeah that's generally a good place to start with Ae newcomers. Every now and then though I find myself revisiting Chiastic Slide era Ae, especially Envane. I still think Laughing Quarter is a masterpiece.

Chiastic Slide is rate good tho imqo.

I have nothing against Incunabula and Amber but I kind of mentally wore them out back in the day and they are so etched in my mind relating to particular places and things back then that it's impossible to try to listen to them without reminescing about that time.

Chiastic Slide IS my favourite album unfortunately but I like everything else too, some tracks less than others. Some are too sparse for me to grab me but, I get them.

Love their later work but even I think Incunabula and Amber are their most chillest albums. Their later work really engages your mind but also your attention whereas their earlier stuff you can kind of listen to in the background while working on things.
