I've enjoyed Machinedrum ever since he made the transition from idm-underlord "Machine Drum" to footwerk-fusion lush null master, but he seems to have lost momentum since moving on to Ninja Tune. If he and Jimmy Edgar want to run like metrosexual stallions into a wildfire of blazing R&B tropes then good for them, but I'll pass.

I still thought Vapor City was legit, but this is just feels too clubby and pretentious. Early 20s bimbos who just wanna get trashed and lose their smartphones and puke on the bathroom floor @ 2 AM on a Saturday with bleeding mascara might dig it, I dunno

exactly this.

i don't get it...at least jimmy edgar stopped producing exclusively club tech tracks and got back to putting out these sexy funkey vibes that made him big. but machinedrum...vapor city was already a step down from room(s), while still good, but now this is just utter trash imo.

i didn't think it was that bad. md has really been pretty hit or miss for me overall.

I like it... way better than Dos Puertas, now that was awful

Lone is still my primary go-to artist for summer music, even though they both collab'd on the track As A Child (which happens to be my favorite Lone track)

Those cheesy ass builds, lack of originality, totally without heart or guts or edge...yeah, that was trash. He must want money.

vapor city was excellent. room(s) is obviously his best, the pinnacle being u don't survive. this however is very bad. major drop in quality, i'm surprised.

Sad to see artists lose all integrity and chase trends for mainstream fans. It would be even sadder if this is the labels influence.
