Stranger Things

Yep, cool series. I thought the last few episodes were real good (I thought there was a chance it may fall flat).

I just felt a little cheated by all the obvious tropes and wayyyy too much steal from 80's movies.  There was a time when I would say "oh come on!" at my telly each 10 minutes.

Yep. If there was anything here that sounded like the perfect blend of AFX, early 'techre and BoC, it'd be that.

this sucked. winona was unwatchable. show wasnt funny or scary or anything. like hearing a trombone play long tones for 8 hours. but in the 80s

While Stranger Things wasn't awful, it IMO did not deserve all the hype and gushing it received. It was a quite boring 80s pastiche.

S2 trailer looks promising HYPED

I actually think it does not look particularly hype at all.

Trailer isn't jaw dropping or anything but I'm sure it'll still be a good season

That trailer was chill af.

It was pretty good. I'll watch the second season. There are certainly a lot of things on Netflix that are a lot shittier than this.

Finally got around to watching this. I enjoyed it for the most part, even if a lot of it had borrowed ideas from other sources (ie: Spielberg, King, under the skin, etc.)

It posed a lot of questions but gave answers fairly quickly. No LOST bullshit...which I appreciated. There were flaws, especially main characters not being murdered when they should have been. Others that shouldn't have been (Restaurant owner), but then that would have screwed up the plot I guess. The evil spoiled rich kids going all "I'm gonna cut this kid if he doesn't jump" was pretty ridiculous really. Other nit picky blah, blah, blah.

I'm still down for a second season. I'm a sucker for kid protagonists and cool synths.
