Are you sure you're not using your real name as your gmail account name?

I don't use a Gmail account, the address in question is a Hotmail one.

this could be the end of SoundCloud tbh, as soon as long mixes are supported:

no real reason for SoundCloud to exist anymore..

Hmmm - as long as anyone is free to make a mix without having to pay a royalty to the original artist, I suppose that's a good thing... question is, where does that money come from? Page impressions?

I guess the same as it is now..? So basically if you upload a mix which contains 10 tracks, each of the 10 tracks gets a little bit whenever someone listens to your mix...?

dunno, the entire royalty stuff is pretty murky anyways... aren't publishers paid "per-stream"? Considering not all tracks are the same length, this seems a bit simplistic and on the surface makes it 100% more profitable to make a 3 minute song vs a 6 minute song...?

what if I make a "remix" which is a wavetable synth drone which consists of microscopic little bits from 100000 different songs..?
