This whole idea of "I don't like Musk but" gives me the heebie jeebies, he has fuckall to do with his company's chatbot besides paying the developers a salary. Creeps me out how people associate all his companies with him like he's the one doing the hard work. I know it's a bit besides the point but I just wanted to rant :')

You don’t have to be smart to order a witty chatbot to distinguish yourself from the opposition. I think that’s the only brain fart he added. There is an interview where he proudly explains what kind of cooling system they used etc but he is constantly searching for words while an engineer completes the missing story bits in the background

AI-designed chips are so weird that 'humans cannot really understand them' — but they perform better than anything we've created

and the last paragraph:

Although the findings suggest that the design of such complex chips could be handed over to AI, Sengputa was keen to point out that pitfalls remain “that still require human designers to correct.” In particular, many of the designs produced by the algorithm did not work– equivalent to the "hallucinations" produced by current generative AI tools.

i wouldnt dismiss it so quick, this is one of those things that can be verified after the fact and iterated on then verified through more formal methods.  heuristic design like this has its place, and goes a long way back. take this example:

Terminator or the matrix perhaps.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

If A.I. does make Jurassic Park a reality, they should make the park just like the first movie minus Dennis. Maybe throw in some Terminator robots as security incase Dinosaurs escape.

You already replied to that video on Tuesday you silly sausage .... The video is presumably an advert for whatever GibberLink is - I'm guessing if you try the same thing on an actual chatbot it'll just reply 'sorry I've no idea what a GibberLink is, did you just make that up Rubin. Sorry Rubin I need to go .... no it's not you it's me ..... no you're not boring me I just need.... no I just need to go - I've got to go back to cryptomining dogs or whatever.'

Expand

GPT 4.5 is specifically designed with increased emotional intelligence to bind people into the open ai ecosystem  that use a chatbot for these things

used chatgpt last week and it started to answer using all kinds of emojis. guess that's what emotional intelligence means nowadays.
