King of Limbs would have worked better if it were a huge collection of these little sketches they tossed out, rather than 8 of them.

Goddamn, I used to do weekly ctf matches with our clan The Cannabis Loving Quakers and had completely forgotten about the word "fragged" even though it used to be such an important part of my generally non-spoken vocabulary. I had a few phrases binded but my fellow clansmen soon asked me to stop using them because of general annoyance and embarrassment. I was a 13 year old goth and my luciferian slogans weren't well received by my cannabis loving friends.

It's not good.  But the two albums surrounding it are impeccable.  It's like they wanted to try making a bad album for a change, since they hadn't really explored that realm.  Throwing shit at the wall can work, but only if you throw enough of it.

lol good clan name.  How could luciferian slogans thought up by a 13 year old possibly be annoying?    I was 16-17 in my Quaker days, but for some reason everyone assumed I was middle aged.  I think my online maturity level has been in a steady state of regression since then.  Only now at the tender age of 37 do I truly feel 16.

Separator is the one track I really love from TKOL, but it would definitely be better with a less brittle arrangement. A lot of that album is dry, plain toast. 

Brittle arrangement, dry plain toast - yes.  Those descriptors sum the album up very well.  You'd think in an album with so few tracks they'd have put more time into the production/songwriting.  Either that or make it a huge collection of tossed off oddities for fans to scratch their heads at.
