I did it one or two times under moonlight on some lone winding roads, it's quite amazing and anarchist. A bit stupid, yes, but one of the less stupid things I ever did in my life...

unfortunately

^really lovely when it’s a full bright moon out, cool night air windows down. done that quite a few times, used to drive lots of backroads at night listening to tunes. not smart when the deer are out and about tho yeah

Staying awake past 52-54 hours has a steep drop off in entertainment value based on my present and past two stints of wakefulness.

I feel like I've prepared for quarantine culture for years without realizing it. The main changes I've felt recently are more active social avoidance (at least physically) and washing my hands more thoroughly, as well as using soap more efficiently.

Also time to prioritize on Vitamin C intake.

Getting the order of operations right in the hand/everything-sanitizer is incredibly complicated for me.  I just can't keep track of every little detail like that.  Hands last is always key, but any time I think I've got that covered I'll touch some other thing that I didn't consider.  Like "oh shit, car keys..."  Always something.

Or you wash your hands, then you immediately touch the doorknob that your unwashed hands touched a minute prior.  Whattaya do?

Wasn’t this is the Twilight Zone? Yeah fuck that. Major Rta’s & the forces behind them are pretty minging in my experience. There’s no bang/crash/sound roar if you can’t remember it, but your body does, in ways there’s no language for.

yeah. in my experience, it will peak sometime around 24 hours with increased energy, lucidity etc until around 36 hours which comes with a 'crash' not unlike a sugar rush. the body will effectively try to complete its sleep cycle, complete with lapses in concentration and states of drowsiness. if you get past 48 hours you may peak for a second time, but the buildup of fatigue will compound the overall process.

there is a drug called Modafinil which basically eliminates the need to sleep. it's what the US Military uses.

Seems like Ethiopians bear a closer resemblance to ancient Egyptians than modern Egyptians do, who are predominantly Arab. Also, written Amharic is aesthetically similar to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Some expert anthropologist can probably explain better than I can why this probably isn't a coincidence.

And I don't get why married women on FB suddenly change their full name to just their first and middle. Third time I've seen that happen in the past year.

uhm… same actually? A few friends of mine (still married, still happily) suddenly did this late last year. I kinda want to ask them why but not really lol...

I never really thought how confusing the Nordic multilingual keyboards must be to somebody who has never used any of the local keyboards before.
