Anecdotal observation indicates religious people are more tolerant of bright light than heathens. Muslims seem to generally be well into fluorescent lighting or icecold leds and I just looked up at a house with slightly warmer but bright light; huge wooden cross on the wall. That’s it. That’s the theory.

My word, those packages, along with the 'surging' price aspect, are insane. For £50 a ticket I'd usually be expecting back scratches and other refinements, not sure what my expectations would be at this level.

Do you guys hear music clearly in your head? Like how you would hear it in real life ?

If so how many instruments do you hear, or do you just hear  your own voice singing it?

I recently discovered whilst thinking about it that my musical memory sucks balls.

If i remember a song i only hear my voice hum a small part of it in my head. But 9/10 times i instantly forget what i was just listening too.

A guy I work with keeps looking for porn magazines cause he doesn't like porn on the web... he's kind of old fashioned and he's pissed of because he can't find porn magazines anywhere these days...

last time I listened to boc I played mhtrtc while I was high on cocaine and I thought I would love it but I was extremely surprised about how uninteresting it sounded att... maybe I'll stop listening to boc... or stop doing cocaine... hard choice I know...

I think I can elaborate a bit more on that... every sound was very concrete... every beat was just samples disjointed from each other with no groove at all... kinda like 2 dimensional, like staring at a daw's piano roll... and there was no emotion on the melodies/harmonies, they were just 'sitting' there... flowing horizontaly without any kind of depth...

I don't do cocaine very often so maybe that's why...

and this doesn't happen just with boc... it's something recurrent and it keeps annoying me tbh...

I've also had this feeling while on acid, the music wasn't music, it was just stuff standing there... with lots of empty space in between everything...

I also tried zappa after 6 months without touching weed... smoked some weed puffs from a vape and I got scared shitless, couldn't tell if what I was hearing was what it was actually playing... or maybe I was hearing stuff I've never noticed before in his songs... but damn I couldn't stand the trip...

Since the nostalgia cycle has gotten to the whole "Y2K aesthetic" thing deep enough that even the most mainstream outlets like CNN have published shallow think pieces on it, does that mean amid 2000s nostalgia wave is on the way?  Are we going to see big revivals of stuff like stoner metal and folktronica and mainstream torture porn? Maybe another wave of neo-noir films (4th wave?  5th wave? It seems like there's a neo-noir revival every 10 years or so since Chinatown came out)?

Should I start saving up to get my Sunn repaired?

It's a real thing, at least in the USA.  I've found woods porn, I know a few other people who has found woods porn, hell even my dad once told me about finding an abandoned cabin FULL of nudie magazines as a teenager back in the early 60s (they had me in their mid 30s, I'm not that old yet), when he was snooping aroun in the woods on property that had belonged to a nudist colony that got chased out of town a few years earlier.

So if he's looking for porno magazines and he lives in the USA or Canada, he needs to go out in the woods to find some before even that option is gone.

EDIT: it's not jsut a rural phenomenon, in the city he might be able to find some alley porn.  Back in the 2000s, my girlfriend and I were walking someplace or other in Boston and a big gust of wind blew an entire magazine worth of gay porn - loose pages - down the street past us like leaves.  That's the only pornSTORM I've ever heard of.

should be some kind of volume limit to phone conversations in a public setting. fucking loud talkers everywhere. if i can hear you from across the street you're too fucking loud.

i have definitely found nudie magazines in abandoned shacks and even in hunters' lookouts (where you can also found a full beer or even a sixpack, especially in summer).

i can also confirm that woods and meadows in full spring blossoms, with that cricket ambience really gets my blood flowing if you know what i mean, so sexy times in tall grass under the warm sun is def the most idm thing ever. might be related to woodsporn, idk, there might be some correlation, i will investigate

The amount of verbal padding I feel I need to be able to start a conversation with anyone about how I feel about anything is fucking ridiculous and I’ve just realised this has to be my problem and not, as I’d sort of assumed up til now, someone else’s. A few years shy from 40, psychotherapy since kindergarten and yet here’s another fucking mundane but major goddamn obstacle. I’m so sick of this shit. I’m a gracelessly failing pasty sack of bones and meat without a trace of tenderness or humour, pretending to be a person.
