SpaceX rockets blowing up, Tesla stonk crashing, X outage, all great stuff, couldn't happen to a better guy.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

A group of Tesla fans and investors has inadvertently exposed Tesla’s shadiness regarding crashes involving Autopilot by attempting to claim that the advanced driver-assist system was not active in a crash test.

It was not only active, but it also disengaged itself less than a second before the crash—a known shady behavior of Tesla’s Autopilot.

Tesla shares fell early Thursday after Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick used a TV appearance to urge Americans to buy stock in Elon Musk's car company.
His recommendation was potentially overshadowed, though, by one of Tesla's most fervent defenders on Wall Street calling the company's situation a "crisis."

musk's doge crew forces entry with armed escort and expels officials from the institute of peace

they show up and are denied entry then they come back with armed escorts and break in. they've done similar things at multiple agencies.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

If you sell your Tesla, that just means someone else owns it? How does this affect the company?

some are going back to dealers to be sold as used cars. overall this devalues the price of the car if there's a lot of used ones available. generally, people turning against a product reflects unfavorably on the stock which then drops as is happening now. amongst other reasons (nazi salutes, general dislike of musk mucking around in gov't), burning teslas, lot's of them going up for sale one way or another shows a trend of people turning up their nose at them.. they become less desirable.

but there's many teslas on the road. i'm in miami/ft lauderdale area recently and there's a lot of them on the road but it's a car town. asphalt hellscape. there's a new tesla out or coming out soon i think. new model. iteration on the previous model of course.

The only issue I have with TSLA is that it's a pay-to-win model (they charged for software upgrades that the hardware was capable of but it was paywalled). It's the iPhone of cars

EDIT: and they're fugly

this video posted above is a good look at some of the technical shortcomings and cut corners. cameras instead of Lidar is a big deal. there's other videos that are reasonable about trashing them and not just hit pieces on musk/tesla.

i hate that all the control is in the screen. i've driven a bunch of teslas and they drive well enough and are fast and all that but every damn control is in the screen. it's so unergonomic. can't easily reach for a button or a knob to change something. you have to take your eyes off the road to do everything.
