yeah I kinda feel that as well. I think it has to do with Abundance feeling 'lighter' creating more contrast between the two tracks.

Is it me or does the breakdown around 3:30 on MT1 t29r2 always remind you of David Essex’s Rock On?

Those 5 seconds could remind you of any funky solo bass guitar around that bpm

Was at a friends place last night listening to Bluetooth music through his tv . Everything sounded pretty shit with no bass but collapse even sounded good on that set up . It's crazy how good and clear and full it sounds even on shitty speakers

Yeah that's right!!

the presence of bestial, effect-laden vocals, reminiscent of a human/swine hybrid

an anti-meditation on eugenics on man’s efforts to selectively breed the best human specimens and eradicate the diseased and feeble minded

sterilization was accepted a way of ensuring that individuals whose minds were mentally deficient or criminally inclined or whose bodies were physically mangled and misshapen were precluded from corrupting the genetic trajectory of the human race

if it's any consolation, i believe the collaboration was largely david lynch providing the talking and flying lotus doing the other 99%.

yeah not to derail the thread but that's exactly what begs the question "why?", if it weren't for them wanting to be superficially associated with each other. am as cynical as always.

on topic: still not a big fan of collapse. but who cares :^)

Just finished a book by Cioran where he says people become more tolerant going older, and extremism is typical during young age (under 30)

...maybe he was wrong (:

I've become unpleasantly annoyed with becoming unpleasantly annoyed. This is all very unpleasant, and I have come to find it rather annoying, imho

Jesus. It's insane how much unreleased stuff he's dropped over the last month. A lot of stuff at the beginning of this set sounds like Analord outtakes.

Sounds like the Houston track around 36 / 37 minutes.

what set? wrong thread? Edited by THIS IS MICHAEL JACKSON
Unread replies

Still think this is the best of his recent material by quite a bit (syro and after). The middle part of Abundance still gives me the shivers and the rest of the tracks are incredibly solid. Nice bonus that it's also loaded with sub-bass and very clear sounding production.
