I noticed this Primavera track vid got renamed to "MT1 t29r2", track #3. Is there any proof of that or are they just bullshitting?

I'll be satisfied with these 5 tracks as long as they're killer lush tunes. Not going to bother speculating whether this is leading up to a full LP. I'll take what's being given.

I second that!!!!!!!! ?

Seems like a cool tune, better than most on Syro

Also it seems a little safe and a little bit commercialised. Part of me wishes he wasn't as popular as he is nowadays tbh (just me thinking out loud)

Apparently if you run the Primavera track through Shazam it'll recognize it as "MT1 t29r2"

I've actually just swallowed two nufrofen because I've got a banging headache with this malarkey

you could save yourself lots of money buy buying generic ibuprofen which is what nurofen is but without the shiny box

though i suppose the same could be said about me paying £17 for the ltd edition 12"

then again you can't really resell nurofen at profit on discogs..

hmmmm

After baseless speculation season... it's hot take o'clock

hangable auto bulb complete. would be cool to hear more drums like this with those mad lush circklon sequencing of synfs. yall mad if you think he isnt still 'innovating' with this music, still nothing sounds like this really.. Copycats will start using this sound palate but he is the one setting the standard stlll. bless, cant wait to hear the rest of the EP, hyped for less of the safe stuff

Seriously disappointed by this. Gonna castrate and lobotomise myself out of sheer disgust because I was expecting Richard David James to at least invent a new time signature before having the audacity to release any new music in public.

I'm bewildered by anyone being so idiotic as to refresh their browser while attempting to purchase this utter drivel because it's largely based on Afro-European rhythmic patterns and it's inconceivable that anyone can be impressed by anything that's conceived as innovative within the current paradigm of conventional music because anyone labelled a "genius" should be expected to do more. The least we can expect is a new scale, timbre or frequency. Come on, people! Where are your standards?!

I'm insulted, frankly. Where's the limited edition MiniDisc? Why can't I fly to Warp HQ and purchase in person by cheque? What the fuck is the point in having an internet of networked computers unless they operate immediately on command through my browser precisely when I want them to? How dare he!

And don't get me started on that "video". There's no script. There's no acting, pathos or hero's journey. Seriously - what's the point?

Some of the code at the start of the video is a slightly mangled version of the .json files that the Cirklon sequencer saves. If you freeze the track near the start you can see what instrument he named each output track of the Cirklon after.

I saw that! Pretty neat. What do you reckon made the main bendy bass line that comes in near the beginning, maybe the tx81z, or was than an analog bass?

I've been sweating the Houston track like I sweated 4bit 9d when it was whatever it was. as with 4bit, just overjoyed to hear release version. this guy, man.

The speculation from the other thread suggests it might be Paul McCartney.

Just got home and missed on the special edition tinfoil joint due to spending time with the fam.

pm me richard.

Also, just finished watching the video for the first time and listening to the song. THAT was what the fuck we needed. Mesmerizing both sonically and visually. One of the best videos I've seen in a while.

I envisioned this track would end up being the single and video. I was wrong, but I'm still holding out hope for another video for this one. Stupid speculation, but maybe each track will have a video to go along with it. This track, in particular, deserves one.

> Fans demand unreleased track from 2 years ago

> Aphex delivers the track

> Fans are disappointed by lack of innovation

Come on guys, we haven't even heard any truly new material yet! I think we could still be surprised by what we hear on the EP.

Yeah, but African repetitions, not Afro-European, what does that even mean? Also changing the tempo throughout the track is the key.

There's no place in the Aphex subforum for your logic and reason.
