hey Joypapa - the HOT tag is getting applied to almost every single thread which is kinda silly…maybe the determining factors for that need to be tweaked?

also check the Squarepusher forum for the new Damogen Furies thread which was started cause the old one was auto-locked. seems a bit off in the timing of the autolock feature in this example and others i’ve noticed…don’t get me wrong i understand the desire to lock really old weird cringey threads from a decade ago but maybe swap to something longer than the current setting?

Forum software just updated; likely need to tweak a few settings... stand by
 

Okay;  disabled archiving altogether (it says the forum will still archive old topics to maintain performance, but we shouldn't see anything in the last ~15 be archived anymore (and the previously archived stuff should show up in search results and be accessible again shortly).

Additionally, I set the threshold for "hot" items to things that have had activity in the last 24 hours (the setting was in the past hour), so that should help there.

I am never able to embed SoundCloud and always get the message: The link could not be embedded because on.soundcloud.com does not allow embedding of that link

Is this a SoundCloud issue or a forum issue as it comes up with every link? I had it with every SoundCloud link since some months now

i replaced the on with www and the link is not even working... "could not find that user"... 

but I do believe that if you share a www link it will work... 

yeah just tested it... I'm on mobile so the link is m.soundcloud.com/xxxx and that didn't work... but I replaced it for a www.soundcloud.com/xxxxxx and it works...

ah yes you are right- first one has to open the on. link that SoundCloud creates from the share button inside a browser then it’s automatically replaced by a new link with m. - which has to be manually rewritten to www. then it works

maybe joyrex can find an update to the plugin used as all links shared from the SoundCloud app now come in that on. format.

No, we don't allow HTML - if you want to embed an IG link, I think it does that automagically?

RE: SoundClown embeds - looks like there is no native support for the mobile version...

well this is weird, on my android it works, on my laptop running win7 in firefox it doesn't... no biggie then...
